I completely agree with that. Dark Forces 2 was pretty sweet as well. Going back to Baldur's Gate, it is tougher to grasp compared to Knights of the Old Republic.

It took me a while to get used to the layout of levels in Baldur's Gate. Previously, the RPGs I'd played used tiles and had less visual clutter than BG. Once I got used to the cramped perspective and repetitive dialog trees, I was able to have a good time. I still liked Wizardry better.

Well figured out where I went wrong, never really got that far with BG or BGII, the one I was thinking about is Icewind Dale I and II. Really good games there imo. Could not for the life of me figure out Throne of Baal or Shadow of Amn...wish I could get the original ones..Think at the time I was just a little burned out..when I played it I had recently finished FFX, was playing WoW, and had started on Dragonquest VIII (which is actually very good once you get use to it :) ). So I would like to find them again and play them some to see if things have changed.

ID is but a shadow of BGs shadow.A pure hack and slash. It would be like comparing quake with M&M.If you do find BG,do give it all your free time. You wont regret it.

So, when do we meet for an all-Round-Table dungeon crawl?

Ok the No 1. not tales of the sword coast, not No 2 (either) :). That is the one I am looking for right now :)..but I would love to be in on a all round table dungeon crawl..but probably would have to bring like a level 1 or so character...

Best bet is to look for Baldurs Gate Compilation - has the lot, cause they don't sell BG1 anymore by itself - you'd prolly have to search ebay for that by itself
