But it shouldn't be that annoying if it happened only in a long while.
In fact, getting ANYTHING done on your car is annoying. You take it in to the mechanic for an inspection, expecting only to pay 50 dollars or so. And then they call you later in the afternoon: <insert BS>
And that's why you should either learn to fix it yourself or befriend a mechanic. Otherwise tehy're gonna screw you and take alot of money for nothing.

Yeah, I hate getting my car serviced.
Glad you spelled it out, otherwise I never would have noticed ;)

I feel pretty much the same way though - which occasionally makes me "forget" to have the car checked up :S

One of my pet peeves: Art teachers that can’t or won’t keep their marks off my work. Any “corrections” they want to make can be described to me and chances are I can fix it better than they can, seeing as it’s MY work and therefore will be in my style. Also, I tend to have a light hand when I draw, so if it’s in pencil or something similar they end up leaving great, crude, unremovable marring graffiti in a nice obvious place. *snarl* I literally wanted to bite my art teacher today when he did that. On a crosshatching work too! So I had to erase and then fix all the lines he went and scribbled over. –w– A note for all art teachers out there: if you absolutely CANNOT restrain yourself from marking on your students’ works, at LEAST carry around a great roll of transparent paper to put over them and mark on THAT instead. Or at least ask first.

That's a little like saying, "Well, a colonoscopy shouldn't be that annoying if it happens only once in a while." Annoying is annoying, no matter when it happens.

It's the same principle as with normal batteries. Take off the wires from the + and - thingies, remove battery, insert new battery, put wires back.

When you are bad of your stomach, go in a hurry to the bathroom, sit on the 'throne' and nothing happens. Then you dare leaving it, but there it comes, that awful feeling that, if you don't return, you'll have a whole day washing your underclothes. :hoo:

I agree that it isn't the best look (and add the waif look to that as well) but it's not exactly a pet peeve, more a dislike

anyway, back to pet peeves:

6 weeks waiting to get your grades back. Nothing going through 4 weeks of class and wondering if you are still in school.
And the chickens. Those damn chickens.

I always hated waiting for grades, and wondering if I had maybe wasted too much time at the pub for the semester - strange that I never worried about this during the semester :D
