Hm...one table i would like to see and i have not been able to find anywhere. I still dont know exactly what luck and morale actually do. Morale makes you attack sooner and raises attack and defense? And luck reduces the amount of damage recieved? I have never seen a faq that defines them exactly.

Morale makes you only to attack sooner and luck reduces damage, nothing more, I think.

Morale also increases damage, negative morale does the opposite. Don't know the exact stat for that, but for luck it's +/- 30% damage (for +ve/-ve luck).

Does luck affect all damage or just spell damage?

I believe it's all damage. You'll notice it when fighting Leprechauns. Sometimes you don't kill them all in one shot. ;-)

Awhile back, Gus Smedstad posted the following details about H4 morale in a forum (probably the Round Table but I don't recall for sure):

Each creature has a 10% chance of getting Good Morale each turn for every point of positive morale. +5 morale gives your 50% chance of getting Good Morale this turn.

Each creature has a 10% chance of getting Bad Morale each turn for each point of negative morale. -3 morale gives you a 30% chance of getting Bad Morale this turn.

Creatures which have gotten Good Morale this turn get a 25% attack bonus, and act before all creatures that have not gotten Good Morale.

Creatures which have gotten Bad Morale this turn get a 20% penalty to attack, and act after all creatures that have not gotten Bad Morale.

+25% is symmetrical with -20%, because it's 5/4 vs. 4/5.

Between creatures that are in the same morale category this turn, speed determines which moves first.

The overall turn order is:

Creatures which got good morale, in decreasing order of speed.

Creatures which got normal morale, in decreasing order of speed.

Creatures which got bad morale, in decreasing order of speed.

Creatures which got bad morale and waited, in increasing order of speed.

Creatures which got normal morale and waited, in increasing order of speed.

Creatures which got good morale and waited, in increasing order of speed.

For each 10% of the original total hit points an army loses, it takes a 1 morale penalty.

For each 10% of the original total hit points the enemy loses, an army gains a +1 morale bonus, but only to offset the penalty it has suffered for losses.

I.e. if side A has taken 20% losses, and side B has taken 40%, side B gets a -2 penalty, and side A has no penalty or bonus.

If a creature actually gets bad morale in a particular turn, for that turn the creature has a 20% penalty to its attack skill, in addition to moving after all the other creatures.

I've just joined this incredibly valuble site. What I haven't found yet is information regarding native terrain for each town type (which I'm sure affects movement as it did in previous Heroes). What's the scoop?

my suggestion would be to post this question in the Heroes I-IV section of the forum and make it a new thread, then see how you go
