Spinal Tap rocks so hard, I turn my stereo up to 11.

Also, regarding the new Muse album, they've become another band that figures since they're musicians they are experts on foreign politics. And here I got a PoliSci undergrad degree like some chump when I could have just become a musician.

Spinal Tap? Ever hear of the Rutles? "All You Need is Cash"

And come to think of it, another great live album was the Last Waltz by the Band (and some friends).

The greatest album ever made....and longest in the top 100 of all time....Dark Side of the Moon.

And one of my personal favorites - Broken by NIN "Happiness......."

I think I saw on the news last night that one of members of Pink Floyd just died... but I can't remember who it was.

Yup, it was him. :( At least this made me dust off "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" again. Weird album, but still nice to listen to.

As for my 'all time best' albums:

1. New Model Army - Thunder & Consolation
2. Fischer-Z - Red Skies over Paradise
3. Therapy - Troublegum
4. Rush - Power Windows
5. Big Country - The Crossing

Best live album by far for me:

Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous

Throwing Copper is a great album... actually, Live is from my home-town, in case anyone cares. :)

You're from York, PA? I'll be up in Camp Hill and Harrisburg this weekend visiting my grandfather!

I'll wave! I come up 70 to 15 to go to Camp Hill from the DC area.

I think I'm going to see a Harrisburg/Reading minor league game on the island. Never been.

When I was in high school, yes. I've since moved to Philadelphia (since college), but my parents lived in York until about three months ago so I was in York at least once a month for the last 10 years. The Live crew were a little before my time (by about 4-6 years I believe) so I didn't know them directly, but some of my friends had older siblings who personally knew some of the members of the band.

Yep, I swing between that, refused - the shape of punk to come and the shins - chutes too narrow depending on my mood.

I was listening to Elephunk - The Black Eyed Peas, and while it is not the greatest album ever, it is pretty decent

In no particular order

Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here (another vote for that one)
UFO- Force It
ACDC- Highway to Hell
MSG- Built to Destroy

I'm kinda old ;) , more branched out on my music now, like alot of the new stuff out there (and wife starting to get me to liking Country music ewwww lol), but those probably some of my all time favorites.

It's a great song, have you heard much of the rest of the album? It's best taken as a whole, imo.

Always a difficult question to answer....

....but...

Moloko- Statues
Björk- Homogenic
Portishead- Dummy
and NIN- The Downward Spiral

... would surely find their way in my luggage when i'd be forced to leave to a lonely island (with electricity and a good sound system of course, otherwise it would be torture :) )

For the complete package few things can beat the Dark Side of the Moon..

Though Iron Maiden's Powerslave is also brilliant... Up the Irons!
