It's close but this one seems best, the h5 3DO incarnation is the second, quite good ;)

Vote Heroes 2 Phoenix
I was tempted to go with the 3DO Heroes V Phoenix, but since it's not actually in a game...

H5 by NWC. H2 one is also good. H3 is OK, H4 is a chicken someone poured gasoline on and set on fire, Ubisoft's is OK.

Voted H5(3do). I think H1 and H5 are the best because they look the most majestic; the way a phoenix should look. I also like the flame effect on H3, but the design itself isn't as good as the two I mentioned before. I don't have a problem with most of ubi's artwork designs, but I really would have liked to seen 3do's design concepts for H5.

By the way, why does every creature from H4 look so stupid?

Pfftt... nothing ever came close to the H2 one. The NWC/3DO H5 one is a distant second.

Oh, and who the heck ever said the Phoenix is supposed to be on fire? Gold and Red and only burns when it dies/rebirths. Just make it bloody brighter/more glowing then the Firebird.

Oh, right, Cyclops with eye-beams, and Phoenix made of fire. Guess someone was a secret X-Men fan.

Voted H5 3DO

It combines the heraldric look of the H2 pheonix with more realistic, more elegant colors, and isn't completely on fire like the H3 and 4 ones. It's certainly the most majestic one. If only 3DO was still around...

Vote H1

It has a suitably heron-like look, as I believe it had in Egyptian mythology but which is rather uncommon in the modern perception of it, at least in my experience.

H2 has the benefit of color-changing wings and a musical chortling sound. But aside from that it’s basically a stereotypical red hawk that breathes fire.

H3’s version, on the other hand, is a toucan that got set on fire. Very unfortunate looking IMO.

The H4 Phoenix is somehow even more unfortunate looking. At least the H3 one had details

The H5 (NWC) version is pretty nice. Pity we never got to see it in action.

And the H5 (Ubi) version is fine—it just isn’t a bird.

H5 3DO.H2 comes in second(because they are almost the same, although the H5 one has improved graphics).H3 would be the next choice, with H4 and H5 ubi fighting to the death for the last place.

Voted H5 3D0 version.

H1 doesn't look enough majestic to me.
H2 one would be my second choice.
H3 one... don't know why, but it looks bad to me.
H4 one looks like a chicken on fire.
H5[3D0] looks majestic.
H5[UBI] looks more like a dragon.

Voted Heroes 1 because it's both cute and has the best background. Memories are fondest too.

Voted for Heroes III: Armageddon's Blade Phoenix incarnation

3DO's H5 Phoenix also looks quite good. It has the logical Phoenix "progression theme" feeling to it. As for other Phoenixes, they all fit well to their respective games excluding the one from H4. Why does it have to look like a fried oversized yellow pidgeon? My friend calls him the "Kentucky Fried Chicken", a name which I find ironically striking. :D

Voted H3. So powerful flames...

And H3 includes WOG Sacred Phoenix, tremendous unit.
