Worms

Unread postby DaemianLucifer » 16 Jun 2006, 14:35

There isnt a greater satisfaction then being able to blast your fellow man from here to oblivion using some very inventive weapons like a concrete donkey

The weapons, the speech, the cuddly graphics, this game has everything. The second part is the defining one,and the best one, imo.I didnt play 3D much though, becuse I didnt like them as the previous parts.

As I recall Worms 2 was the one I first played. The exploding Old Woman, the Sheep and the Banana Bomb were my favorites.

Heh, I got both Worms Armageddon and Worms 4: Mayhem installed and me and my brother play only Armageddon. Grenades are useless in a 3d environment and newbies only use the bazooka (friends girlfriends who's bad at games). Shotgun became the preferred weapon in Mayhem.

I can play if someone wants.

It was one of the best hotseat games(especially for 3+ people), not much fun in single player though.

I can't remember if it was Worms I or II but I loved the way the worm calmly took out a headband, slowly tied it from behind and screamed 'KAMIKAZEEEE!" before attacking, killing anything in its horizontal path...

I really disliked the 3D worms, it felt like a completely different game.
I was unbeatable in Armageddon, though. I was a pro roper (proper, if you know what I mean!). :D

I'll challenge ya anyday :)

Worms 3D wasn't too great but it was fun to put it on max explosions and blast damage, make a small stage, and just watch as everyone is blown up. Worms 2 remains the best for me, mainly becuase I never got my hands on Armaggedon.

Problem is to find settings that people agree on. The settings me and my brother use are made entirely by me f.e and there are only two ropes and limited weapons (only thing unlimited are tools such as blowtorch, drill, the metal thing you put out and grenades).

WWP for me .... loved the new weapons, flame thrower was a personal fav, though honourable mentions must go to the holy had grenade (who says hand grenades are useless???), concrete donkey - YEEEHAWW, and for more death from above - the sheep strike and carpet bombs

damn you can wreck a level with those!!!

The carpet bomb is hillarious!

I got quite well in guiding the super sheep.I managed to get it almost anywhere on the map.My friends always feared that boxes near me will contain super sheeps :devious:

Of the regular weapons,I was really good with grenades(I love throwing clusters in a tight pack  )and with ninja rope mining/dynamiting.

love the rope/dynamite combo, doesn't everyone??

carpet bombs are just great except they are like to kill as many of your own worms as anyone elses when used without very careful preparation!!
