CH Heroes 5 Manual Complete!

Unread postby Kalah » 18 Jun 2006, 22:36

Short of the game release and possibly when the expansions come, this will be the biggest news story on CH this year: The hard-working staff of Celestial Heavens have created a beautiful, comprehensive manual for Heroes of Might & Magic 5. Featuring lists of artifacts and their effects and costs; creatures and their stats; heroes, skills, spells, buildings... Without thinking too long about it, I can honestly say that this is the best single piece of work ever put together by Celestial Heavens.

The manual is available for download here, in three different versions: a coloured screen version, a coloured printable version and a black/white version for printer economy.

Robenhagen, Pitsu and Gaidal Cain are the three people behind this 134 pages long .PDF. Gentlemen, I assure you that if I didn't have a cramp in my left hamstring, I'd be on the floor worshipping in your general direction. I whole-heartedly agree with Angelspit's statement in the foreword: you just made the game easier to understand and more rewarding. Thank you very much for all your hard work.

Absolutely amazing.

So, is this 100% completed as far as version 1.1 is concerned? because i'd like to print it out but dont want to have to do it again a week later -.

also...if possible, when a new version is out, state which pages have been changed? be easier to print out the changed pages than the whole thing again.

but that wouldnt work if a page was added somewhere inbetween, cause the page numbers would be out of whack then.

then again, you could scrap the page numbers or make a version without the page numbers, then i wouldnt have to print 150 pages each time :D

just some suggestions, had a look at it anyway great work.

Excellent hardly describes the work, but excellent will have to do. Now let's see 134 pages/2=67 pieces of paper. Anyone got a spare rain forest to loan me? ;)

Careful UBI may claim some copyright infringement for doing their job better than they have so far. :devious:

Having watched the development of this from afar over the past few weeks, I gotta say that this is an amazing job and a lot of effort has gone into it. Well done guys!

There has been extensive editing, re-editing, fact checking and data.pak devouring done on this. Obviously it's hard to guarantee 100% accuracy, but it certainly isn't a first draft. It should definitely be safe to print!

Stunning! Magnificent! Incredible! The sheet amount of detail about game mechanics is amazing! CH must have done a lot of research to uncover the details.

good work, but i thought i'd point out a minor mistake

under the skills section of haven heroes (Dougal, Ellaine & Irina), the unique skills are typed as basic gating instead of counter-strike.

The icon is right but the wording is wrong
