I don't think it's so much the patch as the unfinished product itself. With high expectations come easy disappointments.

Who would trust their patch when they aren't even able to name their versions correctly? 1.01, 1.1? Next patch will fix this? ;)

Anyway it's probably because it doesn't fix everything and doesn't have all the features requested since the game came out.

There is the normal diff., I just checked, but I'm just upset a lot of bugs were left off, despite the patch being delayed.

"Fixed prerequisites for Urgash's Call, it was impossible to take it." does anyone know about this? What are the new prerequisites?

There are no fix for that, as far as I can tell (have only been checking data.pak files, so I might be wrong). The game doesn't even know it exists, since it isn't in the big file with skills.

So far I'm pleased with the patch. The game seems more finished now... Actually the game seems 1.0 now... -_-'

Hold down 'shift' while you drag the troop between two slots.

Patch 1.1

Unread postby dylanfan » 07 Jun 2006, 11:15

I'm very happy with the patch. I was completely stuck in the third mission of the Inferno campaign. I read all the tips, tried different strategies, played as efficient as I could, but the mission was simply impossible!

After I installed the patch, I restarted the mission without problems and on easy setting it was so much more easier. Unbelievable! I had almost given up on the game because of this ridicolous mission. I played for about 2 hours without encountering any problems. I still have to meet Gilrean, but everything is going so well that I'm convinced it will workout well this time.

And another change is the description of the different weeks. First a lot of weeks had as description: no effect. Now it tells something like: "Week of the Squirrel: not a good week to be a hazelnut". Not a major change, but I think it's funny.

Patch 1.1

Okay, I've managed to install the patch...finally...

Though it's anoying that there are so many problems with even the patch instalations (like non-collector editions problem). I think it's a little childish...

But it should correct more things. There are still so many bugs (just looking into the Buglist thread on forum gives an idea)! And many players say that not-important things were repaired (like Jezebeth model changed into normal Demon Lord model).

Nival should be a "bit" faster with their patching...

if you broaden the definition of english, yes
I have probably offended you in this post. if you take it too harshly, it's your own responsability. I, for my part, never intended to.

That was already like that in the french version (I think Fabrice told be it was a "facétie" from the french translator), nice to see they tranlated those jokes for the other languages as well.
