Meet the bestiary...

French video games website NoFrag received some cool pictures of the bestiary of the upcoming Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, including screenshots, renders and descriptions. There are Orcs and Goblins, ghouls and necromancers, Paokai (the wyvern-like creature) and undead Cyclops.

Check it here.

The Facehugger reminds me of the Terrors from Might and Magic IX...

Undead Cyclops? The Paokai is asociated with the Orcs.... interesting.

And The Free Cities are city-states?

Even this happens 20 years after H5 this can be clues on how the barbarian faction will be like in the H5 expansion.

Goblin, Orc, Paokai Wyvern......

Very nice pictures and descriptions!
* The ghouls remind me of Gollum.
* The idea of necromancer's resurrecting ability being restricted by the creature's strenght of soul looks interesting. In fewer words: Undead Cyclops look great! :)

Guess that's why they only get max 20% of dead creatures as skeletons.

I was surprised by the description of Liches - that the more powerful ones turn into Vampires. This is sort of a reversal of the "usual order" of the necromancer-undead hierarchy.

Me too... I instantly thought of M&M VIII... In there, the system is opposite, where you are a Vampire, and then you turn into a Lich. But most of you probably know that ofcourse... Just a lil' reminder :P ...

Err... Nope. You either start as Vampire and then go Nosferatu, or Necromancer and then become a Lich. You can't go from one to the other.

Defnitely some nice looking monsters, especially the warriors there. I really like the wyvern. The Necromancer(i think) looks very familar, but I can't quite get who he looks like...

I got it, the Necromancer's face and head look sort of like Astaroth from Soul Calibur II, cuz of the blank eyes and the veins popping out and stuff. Also, I think I see some Diabloishness in that zombie.

@ThunderTitan: Who's Darth Malak? I think you are trying to tell me someone from Star Wars, but there is no one in American I know by that name.

Also, any City of Heroes players here, the Necro kinda looks like a Circle of Thorns member.

Ah, I did some research later, and I see what you mean by Darth Malak. They do look alike, its actually kinda creepy.
