Tips for Rebellion and The Siege

Unread postby Angelspit » 22 May 2006, 02:11

Walkthroughs for the second and third scenarios of the Haven campaign are up. Again, these scenarios won't be much of a challenge to anyone who has played a Heroes game before. However, the articles provide some tips for the new players, and give you an idea of what you can expect from the two missions.

In Rebellion, I talk briefly about battlefield tactics and list the things that are really worth your time in this scenario.

Robenhagen goes through The Siege and analyzes the starting bonuses and explains how you can quickly gather an army.

While we try to avoid giving away spoilers at all time, it's better to refer to these walkthroughs if you get stuck somewhere, or once you have completed the scenario. I will take this opportunity to ask my fellow Round Table members to do the same in their threads: use a white font when talking about the storyline, especially the plot twists and the ending. Thank you!

A whtie font won't help much on half of the themes. There's a specific "Spoiler" plugin for the forum software somewhere out there, so you basically type "
Spoiler:
" and it's hidden.

I hope no one needs these.. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to lose before mission 5... nice of you to write them though.

I have probably offended you in this post. if you take it too harshly, it's your own responsability. I, for my part, never intended to.

You can extract any scripts (.lua files) from Maps/Scenario/CiMj/, edit them and save them to the data folder. That's no miracle. Opponent heroes' armies and so on are defined there...

If I had cheated i would have finished the whole Campaign by now.

I got to the ship now barely. After many tries :D

Has anyone got further in the Campaign? Necropolis, Sylvan, or even Academy part?

I heard some people finished it. I'm curently at Necropolis. Markal needs to shut it with the whole "kill Cyrus" bit.

I'm at the last Sylvan map. If you think Markal is annoying, well, you've not seen anything yet.
