Town Portal crash fix: put events.lua into Scripts/Core.

Fix is included in Fixes and Revamp.

The last update of the Merge works fine, however when I put the Rewamp files the game stops working and freezes

EDIT: No need, I forgot that I had to delete the Scripts folder before installing it

Hi, after my pc crash, i format hdd and reinstall the game. I downloaded the 04-08-2022 and played game for some time.

The thing is, now when i walk into interworld-portals, i mean the place "you feel a higher magical something here", i cast town portal and nothing happens. I tried it in Tauleran Forest island with trees and it just opens the Erathia map. I was really keen to travel to entroth. Is it a bug or did the system change? I have the orb and it is red. Maybe i should do something with it now?

I don't want to play mm7 to the end, this hurts me :(

The interface according to the continent stopped working correctly, there is only the mm8 ui.

I suspect no one will have an answer, but: I run MM8 under Phoenicis in Linux (Ubuntu 20.04, specifically). I was having trouble with MM6 crashing, so I thought I'd try the merge, but it won't even start, just crashes. I don't suppose anyone has suggestions? I can't really hope to buy a windows gaming machine until next year....

I'm been running the merge with plain old wine without trouble (debian/devuan), never heard of this Phoenicis thing.
If I had to guess the most likely reason is that you botched the extraction, windows is case insensitive while linux is case sensitive,
so eg if the mod includes "abc.qwerty" and vanilla mm8 has "abc.QWERTY" in windows you would overwrite it while in linux you'd end up with two different files; until someone comes up with a better idea try to uninstall, reinstall vanilla mm8 and extract the merge using windows tools (say eg 7zip and explorer); if it still doesn't work please upload somewhere
- more details (eg a screenshot)
- your file list (cd $MERGE_INSTALLATION_DIRECTORY && find . >q.txt && upload q.txt to pastebin or whatever)

Can you talk me through your installation process? As eliacomeva said there could be a case sensitivity collision, but that wouldn't explain MM6 failing.

Thanks. I also wonder if there is a way to change fly up/down to original pageup/pagedown instead of mouse wheel. Once i was able to do so but now i can't. I don't remember if i have to press a button or click some option but at this latest patches i can not change fly restrictions to original.

Latest Merge packs don't overwrite MM8 lods in most cases (2024-04-08 doesn't do it at all, previous contains vanilla MM8 bitmaps.lod and games.lod).

Heya! First time poster, just started to play the newest patch for this mod (the first one always crashed when giving the letter to the guy at the inn in MM&, but using thenew one faired much better, however, i seems to be unable to sell/identify ANYTHING in any store in Enroth, has anybody else had this problem before? I mean it is a gamebreaking glitch.

Hello. I've recently installed the new version of the mod, but for some reason when I try to create a new character the class names don't match the class abilities (Champion has no abilities whatsoever, it's clearly the Peasant class). My old save is also no longer playable, as none of my characters have any magic points anymore, save for the Arch Druid, who has over 5000.

Thanks to the awesome people on this forum, i finally got rid of the glitch of not being able to sell/do whatever in shops, but i stumbled upon another game breaking glitch not soon after (Sigh... am i supposed to wait a whole year again to find a version not at all as bugged), you see, restarting in Enroth i slaughtered my way through Goblinwatch but as i leave the "cave" i got a message that my save files are corrupted or something and my recent files goes back to older saves. anyway through this or should i just skip the whole Goblin Watch?
