Creature Proposals

Unread postby Panda Tar » 26 Mar 2018, 07:23

:-D

A thread, so we can create and share some ideas regarding specific creature designs, if going far to define some numbers, or at least the basic abilities. The names could be the sort you would expect in that game, after reading things like Hummingbard or so, you're free to make some noise too.

Image
PETALCUPINE
  • Looks: It would look like a mix of a porcupine with a lotus flower. A lotus-like Bulbasaur with spikes and needles.
  • Size: Small
  • Color: White
  • Base Attack: Defender
  • Mana: 140
  • Special Attack: Hunter's Demise (activating it makes unit glows as if charges. Defense is buffed by 15%, and any unit attacking the Petalcupine with normal attackings or direct damaging Special Abilities will suffer 40% DEF damage instantly + 5% of damage inflicted returned like DoT poison for 2 turns. Dot effects don't trigger the Defense. The glow disperses the next turn)
    Evolves to LOTUSCUPINE
  • Special Attack: Hunter's Demise (Defense buffed by 25%, 45% DEF Damage + 10% reflected DoT poison damage for 2 turns)
    Evolves to NIRVANACUPINE
  • Special Attack: Hunter's Demise (Defense buffed by 35%, 50% DEF Damage + 15% reflected DoT poison damage for 2 turns)
    RED STARS
  • + 150 Defense
  • + 1000 HP
  • + 5% DoT Poison reflected damage
The petalcupine is a small creature with very poisonous spikes covering its body, becoming very dangerous when it assumes a defensive blooming position, making it glow like a small star. Enemies who dare attacking it will hurt themselves. The stronger their attack, the deeper will spikes sink in their flesh and the poison will linger even longer and deadlier in their bodies. Although the spikes can repel direct contact with the enemy, burns or poison cannot be repelled back to the enemy, posing a real threat to the petalcupine.

CHRONOMANCER
  • Looks: It would look like an astral entity.
  • Size: Boss
  • Color: White
  • Base Attack: Mystical
  • Mana: 140
  • Special Attack: Karma (Single target, damage equals 40% of currently missing HP, while Healing all team that same amount but self)
    Evolves to CHRONOMASTER
  • Special Attack: Karma (45% of currently missing HP as damage, heals allies for the same amount)
    Evolves to CHRONODEVA
  • Special Attack: Karma (50% of currently missing HP as damage, heals allies for the same amount)
    RED STARS
  • Passive: Presence aura grants +10% HP max to adjacent allies
  • Special Attack: Increases damage threshold by 10%
  • Passive: Presence aura grants 5% damage reduction to adjacent allies
  • Special Attack: Increases damage threshold by 10%
  • Passive: Presence aura halves odds of enemy critical chance to adjacent allies
  • Special Attack: Increases damage threshold by 10%
Chronomancer is a glamber of its own existence, as its karma ability will punish severely enemies who laid chaos to him. The powers of fate reshape themselves into a wave of fortitude upon allies, bestowing them many benefits. Although a Chronomancer is not strong when standing alone, its prowess to gamble with fate and play karma at will when sided by allies bestows very powerful alliances.

  • Color: Blue
  • Base Attack: Healer
  • Mana: 140
  • Special Attack: Tidal Wave (jumps on the sea, creating a giant wave which will inflict 80% PWR damage on a row of enemies, dispelling 1 buff, whilst equally healing all allies and cleansing 1 debuff)

Image

    Evolves to CREEPY KELPIE

  • Special Attack: + 1 charge
  • Special Attack: + 30% damage against small and medium creatures

BINDER
  • Looks: something not so weird like, but that above will do
  • Size: Boss
  • Color: Black
  • Base Attack: Assassin
  • Mana: 160
  • Special Attack: Seal of Talent (the Binder has 80% chance to seal the Special Attack of a Target to himself, making the target unable to cast Special Abilities whilst the seal is active. While the seal is active, it drains 5% of his current HP and 30 Mana per turn. The active seal dispels any buff upon the Binder and Heals won't work either. Releasing the Seal deals 150% PWR damage on the sealed. Boss units have a permanent 40% chance to resist the seal. When the binder gets drained of mana completely, adds a 75% PWR damage to the seal release damage)
    Evolves to GREAT BINDER
  • Special Attack: Seal of Talent (Seals with 90% probability. Drains 7,5% current HP and 40 Mana per turn and releases 200% PWR damage)
    Evolves to SUPREME BINDER
  • Special Attack: Seal of Talent (Seals with 100% probability. Drains 10% current HP and 50 Mana per turn and releases 250% PWR damage)
    RED STARS
  • Passive: + 25% chance to decrease 50% damage from Special Abilities
  • Special Attack: + 50% release damage when mana is completely drained and releasing the seal inflicts halved damage on adjacent targets
  • Passive: + 25% chance to decrease 50% damage from Special Abilities
  • Special Attack: + 40% resistance to debuffs
  • Special Attack: Seal causes a constant 100% Fatigue on affected target
  • Special Attack: - 25% damage taken from sealed enemy.
An entity that completely binds another, only allowing regular attacks being performed. The bind must be strong enough not to break, that's why the binder sacrifices own life and powers to keep the seal active, although when he is completed drained of mana, it'll then release the power of the seal at its maximum.

Ooh, nice one. I'd like one of those Binders in my team!

Think the special is too strong without some additional counterweight. E.g. Binder cannot be buffed or healed while the seal is active. Or: Seal also drains 20% mana per turn and is released when either health or mana reaches zero

Let's use another Brazilian folklore creature, shall we? :-D

Image

SACI
  • Looks: prankster one-legged humanoid, with a pipe and a red cap, which teleports around through dust-devils
  • Size: EPIC
  • Color: Green
  • Base Attack: Bard
  • Mana: 120
  • Special Attack: Luck Diversion (Buffs team by 10% LUK and randomly teleports around enemies striking randomly 12 times inflicting 3% of the collective LUK (combined LUK value of Saci and adjacent allies) as damage)
    Evolves to SACI MULATO

    Evolves to SACI PERERE
  • Special Attack: Luck Diversion (20% LUK buff, 16 random hits of 3% collective LUK (combined LUK value of Saci and adjacent allies) as damage)
    RED STARS
  • Special Attack: Cleanses 1 debuff from allies
  • Passive: + 10% LUK
  • Special Attack: + 10% LUK buff
  • Special Attack: + 1 charge
  • Special Attack: + 2% collective LUK damage, + 4 hits
The furtive and trickster Saci dwells deep in forests and jungles. It often ambushes invaders who venture into its domain, but grants a wish to anyone who is lucky to imprison it into a jar, when Saci is in a dust-devil form to travel around. That way, anyone who is allied to a Saci is extremely lucky, as they can team up to take down their common enemies.

Amazing proposal, I like it and can only hope, that someone from CQ Team is lurking here, though that chance is a slim after demise of so many of their "liaison officers".

The Primordial is an ancient being, ever shaping and shifting space and time, balancing everything it touches. It, then, embodies both the power of Black and power of White. It deforms enemies to their essence, not really destroying them, but changing their current self, where the greater their power, the stronger will be the Primordial's influence. The nature of a Primordial makes them shift in and out of the known existence, making them sometimes difficult to attack or to aid.

Introduction to Hybrid creatures, with 2 colors: Hybrid creatures have 2 strengths and 2 weakeness when based on the four elemental colors. A Black and White creature suffers greater damage from Black or White creatures, but also greater healing; on the other hand, they always act as the opposite colours regarding their targets.

I'll look into the previous proposals and try to make them more feasible, exception for our lovely Gaint Mutated Whale, of course.

Sadly I somehow doubt it now, but it's good that it's there so who knows... :)
