Lol Panda, people actually did that before. Not with the bosses (too weak without the full dgn boost), but with an 'empty' wave one (single fodder creature). So you start the battle facing 2 or 3 epics with no mana. Of course lots of beetles and walruses And we also had a stunlock bug (more than 2 turns) for some time
And boy was the templar nerfed yet?
As it was not intended mechanic the devs nerfed this, rated as exploit. Now if you run incomplete dungeon you will have almost no specials up.

Yes, the 1 creature wave was a popular tactic. Especially in wave 1, so the Epics in wave 2 were more dangerous.
This was countered by the QC team by disabling the dot number effect for dungeons that are not fully filled

There were. You had the choice of having either a 3 or 5 wave dungeon. Changed to multiple 3 wave dungeons. For the better I think

Saw Galaad's Dungeon #3 pop up and couldn't resist the challenge. Blues in Wave 1 so I used the Lich instead of the Phoenix.
Focused on the top row and the small ground unit (I forgot.. crossbowman?) . Very sturdy units overall refusing to go down easy.
Watcher died and revived but all that is left now are pirate and lizardman.
There I made the mistake to focus on pirate first...
Lizardman's random shots took out my watcher for good instead of hitting one of my 2 defenders. Still, ended with Frosty and Oathkeeper alive at near full health/mana
Wave 2 starting with 2 primed rezzers, 2 dark elves and 1 statue about to cast. That's when I knew I had lost.
Very nice dungeon! One of the few I visited where wave 2 might be even scarier than wave 1

Yes all are fully totemed and silver enchanted. The Pirate/Lizardman synergy is indeed very dangerous, it is logical to aim for the Pirate first because of the ATK buff but then you want to make sure you kill him before he can cast. Replaced the statue with the yellow nymph, I guess mass silence is stronger in that context. I have a very similar wave 2 in my dgn 5 with also 2 dark elves (yes I got 4 4d dark elves, and they were all drops ) and the ornis and more dangerous the blue drake. But my strongest wave 2 is the one from my dungeon 4: two templars, walrus, ant and leprechaun. Even in other colors weeks some lose to it.
It's great they managed to render possible strong waves 2, it was a problem for a long time in the game.

Went against your dungeon 4 with my new Raiju. Wave 1 was pretty close. Skeleton down at the cost of both Raiju AND Watcher's self-rezz. A bit of teeth grinding, a bit of luck and then Roo, Lizard, and White Nymph and the round was mine to control.
With full mana, wave 2 was easy despite the Knights. Raiju one shots Walrus. Combination with Leprechaun worked really well!

Yes, I'm not happy with this dungeon and the Witch in particular. Wanted to do some DoT detonation in wave 1, but I'll probably need to wait for the Red Nymph to make that work.

Probably it can be nerfed, there's enchant for everything and there's one for DoTs too.

I guess you mean buffed? I never figured how to make work this Detonates and I didn't encounter a single dungeon using it successfully.

No, but I vaguely remember it.
There was one hitch though, this did half dmg to my whole team.
So I decided to play with it later, which turned to never as I don't have 4d Witch and it's really low on my priority list.
An obvious solution would be to deal fatique before, which cannot be arranged in right order (but hoped for) or to deal additional implosion.

I had a similar experience once. Think it was either a Firebat that detonates 3 units or the Fire Elemental that I guess has a 40% chance to detonate ALL (?) DoTs when hit by special ability.

Haha I can get behind that, actually 4d witch was my first 4d medium dark drop ever (before dots promotion was implemented), I was like why curse you damn RNGPol wrote: I don't have 4d Witch and it's really low on my priority list.

The first 3 units are almost useless against Dracolich. ^^

Everytime I see Astral on slot 1 or 5 I can't help but think.... Don't players read awakening descriptions?
