Market of time (Homm3)

What does it do? Or was supposed to do?
From what i can tell, it does nothing at all.

It was supposed to make the visiting hero forget Secondary Skills you choose.
Make you strong places to dwell and practice the evil of your arts. Build great monuments to stand through the ages and remind your followers of the task with which you have been charged. Use these halls of iniquity to perpetrate your schemes against the infestation that has taken the fields and lakes of this land from you, their rightful masters. Never forget the hatred that must finally overcome and consume mankind. Dwell in your dungeons and brood. - Sheltem the Dark

Doesn't wog also feature a lot of ridiculous monsters and stuff. I don't want that polluting my game.

There is a mod for wog/era, SoD mod. It removes all scripts from wog, and keeps only what enhances the game (switch armies/artifacts between heroes, extra info about dwellings, no plague, no respawn), all of them being selectable.

I am myself hardcore fan of vanilla and I build this mod especially to allow others to play 100% SoD safe, you only turn on what you need. Adding to this mod market of time is just a mouse hover matter.

Would not mind if bugs like armorer/air shield was fixed.

Would not mind if i could disable peasants from spawning in the map editor. I believe there are also a few monsters that spawn at wrong monster levels. oh, and Conflux is an abomination.

But i don't like adding insane monsters and artifacts to the game. Most of the maps i have created have limited the most powerful spells and artifacts because i think they make the game a bit too swingy.

Did you read what I wrote? 8|

Playing era with sod mod will add nothing to your game. 100% SoD, I even restored old graphics for attack icon.

Try it, then complain if anything:

Era: http://bers.heroes35.net/Era%202.46.exe
SoD mod: http://191.101.153.91/mods/SoD.exe

To be installed on Heroes Complete or Shadow of Death. Does not overwrite vanilla (different executables and editors).

So, why should i install a mod that does nothing?

You will get right done Market of Time. ;)

Also you may add HDmod (in some variants is implemented) so you can play it on bigger monitors with their native resolutions.

By all means there are not so many visible changes but underhood you will get new gears.

Afaik main feature of WoG is that you can disable almost anything, you're not forced to use its features. Sure, including the insane monsters level.

You can disable all scripts, but you can't disable what is hardcoded: leave monsters and artifacts on ground, monsters do not accumulate in dwellings and other minor things, clicking in hero screen will pop up commander dialog etc.

Hence the creation of SoD mod, which disables all the hardcoded things, restores vanilla graphics (attack, defense icons), disables all scripts then proposes only gameplay selectable enhancements (most of them are present in HD mod but HD mod IS NOT compatible 100% with Era/Wog)

So SoD mod is a safe base (no plague, no respawn) for adding manually preferred features. In this case, market of time.
