Me too; why is that?
Because it looks AWESOME of course. :-D

Vote Blue Hydra. H2 always looked like a brick wall to me. A brick wall with heads. :S H3 I liked, H4 looked a bit too awkward, and HV is fine by me except for the feet. The feet hurt its overall image, IMO. If it had the H3 or H4 hydra feet, or really any feet that weren’t elephant feet, (they'd have to re-do the whole body structure if they were to make it footless) it wouldn’t look so much like a multi-headed apatosaurus. I dislike the Dungeon’s dinosaur theme in general, however.

Voted for the Hydra from H4. I think they're all really nice (but the one in H5 looks a bit like a mutated horse, too square) and well made. Unfortunately I can only pick one so I chose the one from H4 because it seems more realistic (not that it really is :D ). The edges are more soft which makes the entire animation look more soft and lifelike

Heroes II hydra for me. Loved that chubby worm. Great tactical unit and very good for it's level. Unfortunately in later game hydra lost it's glory for me.

You can call it nostalgia if you want to but I really love those blue lizards from Heroes I. Yeah, no 3D, no fancy graphics, just a really cool (blue) Hydra.

Nothing can beat

The Hydra's heads always look way too heavy to be supported by its body, especially in Heroes 4. The Heroes 5 Hydra seems like it could at least stand up.

It does look a bit cudly with the softly lit skin 8|
I just don't particularly like the one in H5, as I said it looks like a horse (possibly even a giraffe...). I still admire the artwork though. I could never draw (or animate) a creature like that

If only H5 hydra had NO legs had dino-shape body. I suppose the snakelike creature with h5-heads (they are IMO great) would be the perfect combination.

don't like H3 and H4 hydras due to their legs...

This is the campfire. viewforum.php?f=6

Here among many other popular and/or interesting threads you will find similar threads to this one like DL's Titan Evolution thread and Gargoyle Evolution thread (yeah he shouldnt have posted two by himself but since that was the start of this new trend he could pass=) and my Green Dragon evolution thread. Each week a new person can make her/his own evolution thread about a creature from any Heroes of Might and Magic game.
And remember the person can make only ONE evolution thread each week, the same person cant post more than one evo thread, each week theres gotta be a new person not one who have posted a evo thread from before. Enjoy ;)

H1 hydra.
There are many creatures that I liked better in H1:
Hydra, Dragon, Troll, Ogre, and definitely the Genie! I think the magic-carpet type was so much better than the lamp type!

I don't think a thread about the Heroes games fits better in an off-topic forum. Sure this section of the forum does not encompass H5, but it seems like the best place for such threads.

I too think that this belongs to campfire because this involves HV as well, but there is a separate forum for HV.Oh,well.Where ever it is,I dont mind too much.

The thread doesn't wholly fit in either forum, so chuck it somewhere it doesn't fit at all? IMHO, people are here mainly for the discussion of the Heroes games, not all of them venture into the off-topic forum.

Hydra is a snakelikeancient creature, and I doubt thet snakes have legs. Btw they look silly only with front legs...

And as for the thread i don't understand why the topics shoul be in campfire.
It's NOT an off-topic to H1-3 section.
