Question about Markal Rising Creatures

Unread postby Wahooka » 11 Jul 2014, 19:18

Hello forum,

After a battle, Markal has the option sometimes of using Dark Magic Points to rise dead creatures back into his army.

However, sometimes it gives you the option to raise more creatures then you can afford.

Is there a way to raise less creatures then the number they are giving you?

Lets say you can only afford 50 skeletons, and the option is to raise 100, can you somehow just raise 50?

Or is it all or nothing?

This can especially become an issue when you have mulitple options of who to raise, so your points get diminished.

Thanks.

Not sure if i get the question correctly, but have you tried to hold the SHIFT key down when clicking on/dragging around the creatures to raise?

I never tried that.

So if they give you the option to raise 100 skeletons, but you can't afford it, can you just raise 50 using the shift key?

You certainly know that you can split stacks in an army or between heroes (hotkey is "shift"). Raise creature window of necromancy allows you to split stacks the way you like it. If 100 skeletons can be raised, drag and drop them into your army while holding down shift key should open the stack split dialogue window.

Precisely.

Actually if you are only able to raise skeletons (or skeleton archers) and no other undeads you are playing by rules of older game versions (necromancy principles changed totally when the game was already out). In this case you may not be able to split raised stacks. It has been so long since i last played an older version, and had forgotten this possibility...

I finally got around to trying to hold SHIFT KEY down, and dragging stacks.

Didn't work.

If you don't have enough points to raise the entire stack, it won't let you raise part of the stack.

(Unless there is another way to do it)

Try split them between two of the fields in the creatures-to-raise-bar, instead of splitting them between the to-raise row and your army.

This. There is no possible reason it doesn't work. You can also write the precise number between the two split stacks (60 to 40, 52 to 48 etc.).
