Uhh, is this the new game a few people have been waiting for?

If so, why are there already a bunch of patches?

You have been paying attention to this whole "early access" thing, right? The finished game hasn't been released yet.

Well, I am skeptical about the "wow" thing. Sure, it looks good but how much those graphics will screw the game play, wait and see.

After hearing so many people in awe for Skyrim, I bought the game last week and indeed, is fantastic looking. Beautiful, polished, colorful, almost 100% realistic. Is my first new game I play since 10 years so I wasn't prepared to such progress.

BUT:

The game-play is sh*t because of this. Entering/getting out from a house takes up to 10 sec each action, loading screen. This makes visiting a city a painful task and after 50 hours of game play I still did not visited any, because of this. The combat is chaotic with all those spells eye candies filling the screen + lags. I was playing last month MM6-MM8 old games and immersion is TOTAL, no delays, YOU JUST PLAY THE GAME.

Now super graphics, but you don't play, you wait most of the time the graphics to load, even on top machines. This means immersion=0. Is like reading a book where pages are glued.

Maybe it's time to buy new hardware then, Salamandre. :)

Nope man, is not about hardware. Look at any videos on Skyrim, you will see everyone is getting same delays. Is out of my mind how people can keep playing with such flaws.

Well I did play with Skyrim and don't remember these delays bothering me (it was the repetitive gameplay that killed it for me). But neither did I complain when Might & Magic VI and VII were loading new areas on my good old Pentium.

Skyrim plays just fine in a modern PC, though I am not a fan of the game.
