Voted for H4. Hte idea of hydra having two legs is funny. The H5+ is the runer-up.
Cheers,
Boromir

Remember, we said one creature poll/week. I'll let it pass this time, but we don't want to clutter the forums with these things. And I vote for the h2 one.

Ah, the good ol' HoMMII Hydra. No silly legs for her. The H4 one comes in second.

Vote: H2 Hydra

I like all of them except the mildly retarded looking one from H5.

H5+ Hydra

The best hydra ever, not like those mildly retarted things from the past.
Seriously, why are almost all against the creatures from H5? I really doubt you guys cand do better, neither can I.

i guess including the unupgraded versions in h3 and h5 was a bit pointless, since everyone goes for the upgraded versions...

The 'guys' from NWC sure did a better job, in every one of the four endeavours! And who is against all the creatures in H5, anyway? I dislike some of them, hydra included. Looks like an extinct reject from Jurassic Park (couldn't keep up with its prey with those dino legs).

But it's no use quarrelling about taste, as it's a highly subjective category.

Why?Because the style is wrong. If I had that much expirience with 3D graphics, and the resources they had, believe me,I wouldve done better.Way better. The style is too...childish.When I look at this picture of HI hydra I think:"Wow!Now thats one mean monster!".And when I look to those HV versions I think"Nice flashy lights".And that goes for many other creatures as well. They simply dont feel like HoMM.

OK, time to start a petition to bring back the legless many-headed-snake Hydra.

Getting legs in H3 was the worst thing that happened to the poor creature. And don't tell me it's so it can faster, coz snakes move pretty fast when they need to.
And the H5 Hydra has a relly bad looking body, it completly ruins the head, which aren't that bad.

Well I can always pretend they're just some weird bone structure. For the non-upgrd ones anyway.

Althought he is not fond of the game in itself, Nucleon likes the concept of the H4 Hydra. two rearing legs on a lizardlike body seems an excellent, plausible compromise. It's got its own style, when compared to dragons. It is a bit too gracile, however.

the H2 one comes up as a distant second.

The blue one looks more like a Lovecraftian creature (was it Shaggot?)
