Might and Magic for Playstation 2?

The role-playing games (I-X) that started it all and the various spin-offs (including Dark Messiah).

Unread postby Sgt_BFG » 06 May 2013, 20:53

I've heard that they released a version of MM8 for the Playstation 2. I tried to find gameplay footage of it on the internet but found nothing. does anybody know any footage of the game online?

Here's a google search of it -> https://www.google.com.au/search?q=%E3% ... =firefox-a

Looks like it was only released in Japanese. I would also be very interested in getting my hands on a copy, it seems like it would be pretty cool to play the game on console.

The game will be all in japanese too, because I'm pretty sure this was only released there. I don't own a copy of it, but I don't think they're too rare, at least compares to the Japanese only ports of the early games to NEC computers and the MSX, which I haven't found every version of yet.

I managed to find a copy of that game during a recent trip to Japan. Now all I have to do is find a Japanese PS2 to record some footage :)

I suppose if your computer is good enough you could use a PS2 emulator to run the game and take some footage.

Sadly the game is not working with the emulators yet.
Fortunately I have a friend with a Japanese PS2 :)
Here's some footage I recorded of the game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9W7Y2D11qk

Huh, so they reused things to create a tutorial level. I have to say, though, the title screen is quite flashy.

I don't recognize that music in the tutorial dungeon, was it in the original game?

Amazing, I recently completed MM8, something like less than a month ago and still didn't recognize it.
