The neighbours and I just chopped down 4 big trees in our garden. I've been chopping it all into sizeable pieces for firewood.

18th of May, Finland vs Sweden, semifinals in ice hockey world championship games in Stockholm, Sweden at the Globen Arena at 3pm local time. The two countries will be fighting for their rightful place in the Sun, err I mean for securing their place in the finals which will be played on the same arena on Sunday May 19th 2013.

This guy here thinks that the Finns will take the day 4-2. Long live the Sisu!!

Got a warning notice when booting my old desktop yesterday; the internal battery (CR2032) was running low. It must be about 10 years since I bought that PC and only now have I had to change that battery. :)

Reminds me of the ancient PCs we had during my first years at the gymnasium. They were only capable of running Windows Elements for Legacy PCs, and even then super slowly. Most of them had the CMOS batteries drained, so every time they were turned on, the date would reset.

And one of those was so slow that the only way to browse the internet, for instance, was to use Lynx. Yeap, it couldn't even handle Firefox, so downloading Lynx in the first place took a while. But at least Lynx did run pretty decently.

@Kalah: Yes, don't remind me about that. The last two games by Finland were pain to follow. I was watching the game with my university buddies, and oh boy, were we sorely disappointed by Team Finland's performance or what! Everybody was cursing, shouting, cursing some more and drinking. We took the defeat close at heart, were pretty depressed, mad and angry at the same time. We spent the next 10 hours drinking, going to the sauna, drinking and then going to the sauna to drink some more and try to get over it. And the massive headache...! And the bronze game? Don't get me started about that. More drinking followed, of course. *#!#@ ice hockey.

Students' oral exams are starting. I've not been very busy these last couple of weeks (during the written exams) since I don't have any courses that students can be drawn for written exams, but now I'm going into high gear, since my courses are being drawn.
