Unread postby Infiltrator » 08 Feb 2013, 19:08

It was announced a couple of days ago. I bet a lot of us had pleasant memories with the first 2 games.

Very very excited about this! While Disciples and HoMM have continued all these years its frustrated me to no end that AoW hasn't. But now its really happening! :)

AoW1 was an excellent merger of HoMM & the original classic Master of Magic and god did it have a good soundtrack!

AoW2 and Shadow Magic just perfected the formula with HoMM3 like video intros and a much better storyline then AoW1. The city building was much more master of magic like, and I loved how you could colonise and build your own cities.

Apparently Notch (minecraft) is a massive fan of the series and has funded a large part of AoW3!

This news makes me so happy. Although I had issues with some of the combat balance and the lack of diversity in types of units, the strategy aspect of the game was supreme.

The AOW2 mod made it my all time favorite game. I hope this doesn't turn out to be a disappointment like my other favorite game, Homm. :(

Hint: it has six sides...

That's why you're reminded of Heroes.

Around, never stopped visiting CH,there was those disagreements with stuff here but am still a fan of the game, but i dont like Heroes V & VI so i wasnt posting...playing Heroes Kingdoms lately, but that seems to be dying as well.

AoW 3 look great, but same as Ubi Triumph reduced the number of races, gone 3d.Unlike the Ubi they are the creator of the game,so i still have hope it can be good game.

Races that will be in

High Elves
Humans
Dwarves
Draconians
Goblins
Orcs

and as we can see in this video, undead Archons.

Too bad every fantasy game nowaday have those races.

Goblins & orcs... why make two races of so similar green critters?

I am also disappointed by same boring races appearing in every type of game.

I would also have preferred seeing low elves instead of those elitist high elves. ;|

Those races sell. It's easier to sell anything which have been done by many others. U don't even have to improvise.

Suppose u wanna see a race of celestial robotic half-demon half-mycobacterium ?

:-D :-D :-D
