That's not a full fridge. You can still see part of the shelves.

I also noticed the full wine rack next to the fridge. You didn't give us any details about that...

What this shoot thing? Over here you have to tear out the throat with your bare teeth, otherwise you're not worthy of tasting the meat...

For the last couple of days, another forum I'm on has been in a complete $h!tstorm as a consequence of the revelation that the mods/admins were gathering personal information on various users .. looking them up on FB, checking public tax records and whatnot ... *phew* Needless to say, we don't do that here. I know you're all flat broke hillbillies anyway ... ;)

Were out picking berries today. It was a damned grind, but once I got all the bugs out I got some epic purples out of it.

Unless he actually made it from lemons, it's not lemonade.

Wikipedia, fount of all knowledge, translates "saft" with "squash".

Quite so. I got "squash" from google translate, but since I've never heard or seen the word used in that context I discounted it. But from your link it seems there was something to it.

And you as a teacher support this practice of subverting the correct use of words?

You were correct w/ American English(midwest). But squashing berries does get the "juice" out.<L>

Squash (yellow, zucchini, butternut, spaghetti)is what we call all gourds except pumpkins for some reason.

What kind of berries?

No, of course, you're right - we should all revert to speaking old Norse, our true language. ;)

Crowberries and blueberries. And indeed, I did squash them, in addition to lacing them with acid and adding honey and sugar to the results (I'm not a fan of boiled fruit).
