Might & Magic VIII and Might & Magic IX Boxes?

I have a quick question. I'm wanting to purchase Might & Magic VIII and IX from amazon.com, but I want the original big retail boxes they came in when they first came out, as I still have my original boxes for Might & Magic VI and VII, I want to complete my collection with VIII and IX. What I'm wanting to know is; was Might & Magic VIII ever sold as JUST the Jewel case by it's self or was it only sold with the big box. Also was Might & Magic IX ever sold as just a jewel case, or did it have a big box or was it one of the small boxes, like Heroes of Might & Magic IV came in? Also, if someone could post the UPC from the original boxes of both games so I can make sure I get the correct version, as amazon sellers are bad about selling bootlegs and PAL imports.

Lol, whoops. Yeah, I meant VIII. I was thinking of IX at the same time so I screwed up just a bit, but I fixed it.

I would not expect to get the boxes from Amazon, unless they specified they were part of the package. Ebay is about the only place that you may be able to find boxes.

The MM8 box is larger than the MM9 box. Around the time between MM8 and MM9 most places were transitioning to the smaller form boxes for games.

The UPC from MM8 is 5055-01-005(top number), 90561 50551(bottom).
The UPC from MM9 is 5304-01-005(top number), 90561 53041(bottom).

So IX did have a box and not just a CD case. I'm guessing it was the same box that Heroes IV came in.
