LOL. And I thought I was the only one who had a shelf like that. I've got a few he doesn't, but he's also got some I don't have either. I don't have Nuclear War, Wetlands or Planet's Edge, but he's missing H4 Winds of War, and all the Chronicles.

This is making me feel a bit nostalgic. Might have to fire up Might and Magic II again....just for old times sake. :O) (that's STILL my favorite of all time *grin*)

And don't forget about Might and Magic 5 1/2. Swords of Xeen. That one you get after you install both Clouds and Darkside on the same harddrive. Nice little surprise for those loyal fans of the series. :O)

Don't want to seem like a wisenheimer, but as far as I know, having installed M&M 4 and 5 on the same harddrive, creates the "World of Xeen" with a number of additional quests etc.

"Swords of Xeen" on the other hand is a licensed M&M game created by another developer and using the Xeen engine.

That's a marvellous collection you've got there!

1 ?: What's special about the MM6 special edition?

Anyway take good care of your collection as I reckon that it would be near impossible to collect from scratch today. 8)

Hello everybody!

Thanks for the comments, I put earlier my first post in the Heroes Round table in M&M Discussing, and [CH]Angelspit was so nice to put my collection picture here.

Yep, my humble collection is not complete yet.. For instance it misses Heroes Chronicles completely and Heroes IV Winds of War..

Answer to that one question : Why M&M VI Special Edition?

Well, it has all the previous M&M titles (I-V) with it, so they are more easy to install on modern computer today. Then again in Millenium Edition You have Swords of Xeen and also World of Xeen with the speeches. :)

vepeli,

isnt Hammer of the Gods a great game?

I'm the exact same as Sir Charles, got/had them all except the ones he mentioned. Although I never bought the Chronicles, stuff that.

I dont however still have the original boxes for KB or MM1 - MM3 since I played them on different systems.

To Ryder, Yep, Hammer of the Gods is a great game. I haven't finished it. In future when I have completed those games that I'm now playing, I get down to it again.

To Vepeli,

If only you had 5.25" unit for these floppies and, good cd-rw optical drive's burning program, you could be able to compile all of your M&M titled versions + the HoMMII, III & IV onto one(1) single CD disk(single sided) as an additional guarantee to be able to reinstall them properly at a much faster pace at any time you feel like replaying them.

That way, you do not risk to damage your floppies and keep them in true archiving place(no dust accumulating onto them thru time).

By the way, good work at keeping them for further reference to help others understand the origins of M&M.

My collection would take two wall length multiplied by two + one more of that same length just for my DVD's(box sets and single films) that I get to play on my PC all the time(that include the rental ones from the local video store).
Earth is a large world.
So does our egos and opinions onto everything.

An impressive collection, but since when were "Planets Edge", "Anvil of Doom", "Inherit the Earth", "Nuclear War"!!!, and "Wetlands" "Might and Magic titles..."?
