I returned from my trip.

I'd like to add the name of my mother to this list. Her name was Elizabeth Ines Gazzoni, the purest and most noble creature I have ever had the honour to share my life with. She wasn't my blood mother, but she raised me more than my biological parents. For 14 years, she gave me the best of her, and I'm proud to be able to pass it on.

I could write endlessly about her lovely life, but I wouldn't be able to really speak the true power of her will, of her goodness, of her nobility. A woman that always did everything for everyone, even when she was suffering, and never asked anything back.

For her, hail the angels and God himself, take her home, and let her be free.

My condolences, Panda Tar. You strike me as a warm and caring person, perhaps those are some of the qualities she passed on to you.

Take care.

Steve Jobs one of the founders of Apple and its current savior has died. Well he is gone before the iPhone became self aware and threatened humanity. :rip:

Even though I wasn't a big fan of him or any of his products, I felt a bit sad after hearing his death. I always had respect for him. :rip:

I first saw him in the world cup while stationed in England; he was a wizard.

Gunnar "Kjakan" ("the jaw") Sønsteby, Norway's most highly decorated war hero, died today, aged 94.

Heading the "Oslo gang" of the Norwegian resistance movement during World War 2, Sønsteby is the only person to receive Norway's highest military award three times, as well as numerous other awards - including (from other countries) the British Distinguished Service Order and the American Medal of Freedom with silver palm. Serving as inspiration to young and old for more than half a century, he has already gone down in history as one of our country's greatest.
