Another map of the world of Ashan. Before you look at the map with names on it ... can you name all the places?

Thanks to evilp.

Sure... Jade sea and pao islands to the right.. then left of that we have heresh.. and then left of that with the desert is the silver cities... the middle of the map is griffin empire...and the upper left area is Irrolan and in the north the area with mountains is Fortress (grimheim).. and the area to the left is the are with stonehelm... and the yggchall is in the small mountains between holy griffin empire and Irollan....think I got it all...

England, France, Spain, Italy, Balkans, North Africa, and so on... :P

@dark raider
It's Jade OCEAN and IroLLan. Ygg-Chall is under surface of Ashan.
Also you miss Ranaar, Karthal (Free City like Stonehelm) and Hashima.

Again with the stupid "it looks like Europe". The only thing reminiscent of Europe is the orientation and nothing else.

I am trying mate, but all I can see is a continent expanding sideways. Btw, we have all kind of continent shapes on Earth: expanding vertically, expanding vertically (America) but also being wide (Africa), expanding horizontally but also being massive (Asia) and one that almost forms a circle. So you can find patterns with everything if you want :)

Heresh is obviously Italy, it's the only country on Earth that does that weird "coming out of the main continent like a weird growth" thing...

But it does look similar to Europe whether you like it or not. Ubisoft confirmed that that's what it's based on.

@ΤΤ:

Greece does quite the same thing, although surely shorter. Same does Florida and the piece of land in the gulf of Mexico. And what about East Russia? A huge piece of land comes out of Asia and into the sea of Okhotsk. Same goes for Novaya Zelmya but you can pretend it's only an island. Antarctica also has it's own piece of land growing out of the continent, larger than Spain, France and Germany altogether.

@Corlagon:

That means nothing. If I draw a circle and say "I was inspired from Europe", does this make it similar to it?

FWIW, I noticed the resemblance at first sight.

@hellegennes: what do you mean that official confirmation means nothing? It means precisely that the likeness people are picking up was deliberate.

They're similar in theory, but to the human brain Italy is clearly in a league of it's own...

I wouldn't think so. I swear most people today are on SM on a daily basis.
