It is a 'good' tradition among Russian publishers to ship games with Starforce, so we're fully prepared ;) No, seriously, SF was intended to fight piracy and such but this notorious protection system can be 'cracked' even by average user with right tools, so why use it? Could someone explain the meaning of this mummery to me!?

Ah, Russia... eternal child of Ivan the Terrible. :devious:

Why are they bothering, this are the guys that released the alpha version. It's probably gonna be out on the streets the same day.

Of course in Russia one would be able to buy a pirated English HeroesV on the same day. Without star-force.

So they're sort of shooting feet!

Being Russian has prepared me for it. I guess I'll just pay very little for the legal Russian version and then... well, play the English version or something. ¬_¬

Znork, I "car" about Russians. Because I AM a Russian. And I don't want a game with StarForce.

Nival is the sole Heroes V distributor in Russia, and apparently they will only release the Russian version. Even if they do release the English one, it will undoubtably also be StarForced.

Well, apart from it costing six times as much. And most Russian's really don't have that much money to throw about.
