Enlightenment Stats

Unread postby drelkata » 21 Oct 2011, 22:11

Hi, dudes! :)
I would like to ask if someone can tell with certainty if the Stats bonuses from the Enlightenment perk are given only when you acquire it or every level after you take the perk?
Thanks in advance!

You can pick it at lvl 20, it doesn't matter, you'll get the bonus points since lvl 1 anyway.

I was asking how often you receive the stats:
-Every time you level up, you get bonus stats (if you have already picked the perk)
-or-
-Only when you take the perk, you get them as an one-time reward?

When you level up, so it doesn't matter if you take it early or late. However not every time. Basic gives a bonus stat for every 4 levels, advanced for every 3 levels and expert every 2 levels.

So it doesn't matter when you take it? OK, thank you for the help! :)

Well, it does matter, esp. if you want to level up quickly. :D

I've got my own enlightenment question, what are the primary stats of each faction that get a boost from enlightenment?

From my play through of the original I thought it was this.

Knight: Defense, Power
Demonlord: Attack, Knowledge
Necromancer: Defense, Power
Warlock: Attack, Power
Ranger: Defense, Knowledge
Wizard: Power, Knowledge

But now I started the HOF campaign, and my Knight's primary stats appear to now be Defense and Knowledge?

Did the primary stats of each factions change from expansion to expansion in heroes 5? Or was I somehow just wrong about the Knight's primary stat in the original, or have I just been REALLY unlucky about gaining anything in my Power Stat with my level ups (Freyda is at level 16 and has just 3 power, 1 of which she started with, the other 2 points were from available power stat boosters in mission #2)

I don't think attack is their primary stat, my knight's have never had a whole lot of attack, here's my current stats on Freyda at level 19.

Attack: 7
Defense: 15
Power: 5
Knowledge: 9

Over half my Attack and Power has come from events/rewards/etc on the maps.

I know when I was playing as Findan in the original that I was running into multiple knights with like 7 or 8 power, and just 1 point in knowledge. That's why I thought Power was their other primary stat?

I looked it up for you, from the ToTe manual:
Haven-Defense-Attack
Sylvan-Defense-Knowledge
Academy-Knowledge-Spellpower
Inferno-Attack-Knowledge
Necropolis-Spellpower-Defense
Dungeon-Spellpower-Attack
Fortress-Spellpower, Defense-Knowledge, Attack
Stronghold-attack, Defense

However these are percentages, a knight is most likely to gain defense, less likely to gain attack and unlikely to gain knowledge/spellpower. However this doesn't mean it's impossible for a level 20 knight to have 20 spellpower. Just very low odds.

For more information I'd suggest you look on page 294 in the fan manual.

Ok, thanks Mirez, I guess the secondary stat is just a lot less obvious because you have a near equal chance of getting one of the other two nonprimary stats on a level up then.

But what fan manual are you referring to? The one I downloaded from the main site only had 108 pages, not 294+.

Thats probably the regular manual, the fan manual is much better. It's located in "C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\FanDocuments". (pretty sure it came with a H5 nilla patch as well)

You can also download it here:
