I think Heroes 6's cosmos is okay... they refined the cosmology much better than Heroes 5 (although I actually only 1.5 campaigns so it may be premature to say).

However, I agree that GW's pretty successful in creating its own mythology, although I didn't like the fact that

Actually, by GW they meant Games Workshop, the company that created Warhammer and Warhammer 40.000. Hell, even somewhere in the Heroes V discussion is a thread called Warhammer of M&M, where people point out at the "little inspiration" Nival had while making Heroes V.
