@JSE: he just created a new studio for EA (Victory Games)... I don't see him leaving so soon.

Ah, Command and Conquer. I should play that again someday. Red Alert was a lot of fun.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.

What is that golden dragon-like creature in the compendium? Looks awesome.

Awesome interview - great to see that JVC loves that M&M series continue. :)

JVC Interview & Ashan Compendium

@ Marzhin He went to NCSoft and Trion because he wanted to make an online game. He's working for EA now for a similar reason. That's the same thing he's wanted to do since he sold NWC to 3DO in 96. If Ubisoft had offered to let him make a M&M MMORPG, he might have gone to work for them.

Rift is pretty much JVC's MMO. I recently read that he turned C&C into an MMO as well!

UBI produced that video and you really think they'd release it if he said he hated what was happening. By the way I have some benchfront property in Nevada for sale. :tonguehands:

I do believe he is happy his creation is still popular and finding a new audience.

He wants to make MMX, you can see it in his eyes.

Rift was originally called Heroes of Telara when JVC was working on it so I don't think he's quite over the M&M franchise.

Are there any other video interviews of JVC out there? This is the only one I've ever seen.

Right over here: https://www.celestialheavens.com/95

The audio is not so good. Recording sound at E3 is a nightmare.
I'm on Steam and Xbox Live.
