Hmm, the guy in 3rd place was doing some artwork for MMX. I wonder what happened to him.

Of the three, the first one is most to my liking, the third one the least.

Looking at all the entries, this one was my favourite: http://s3.amazonaws.com/wildfire_produc ... e_Gate.png

lol, I guess it was lack of interest that brought these... things to the top 3 (no offence). Those (except in parts the 3-th one) are children drawings.

I'd say the other way round. First and second are better than the third.

The first one should have been named "One does not simply walk into Mordor" :D

Is it coincidental that the winning three depict the MM Ubiverse?

You have the link to the contest above. Have a look to the entries and see if you can find a good one depicting the old universe. Trust me, I would have loved to see a cool art piece with the old worlds and characters, but there simply wasn't any.

3'rd should have won imo. And 1st should be second and a picture called King of dragoon, should prolly be 3rd.

I liked the 1st artstyle, but the 3rd has a more epic feel to it...

@Marzhin
I would but I couldn't see any of them because you needed Failbook account to see them all. Account for vote is OK but only too see pictures is not OK.

EDIT:
Oh nevermind, they fix it now.

@Torur: it turned out King of Dragons was actually stolen from a concept artist's website, so it couldn't win.

I actually like the winner here; it looks kind of "retro" - although I did laugh at the title. Clearly not made by a native English speaker. :D

Well I get why 1st place is on the first place. It kinda has the feel of whats gonna happen and why are they standing there. The dude who made 3rd picture obviously has loads of talent but I wonder why he choose such a boring theme to draw.

@Marzhin:

I knew that beforehand, so that makes my comment a bit distracting. But honestly, I was trying to make a point. There weren't any good submissions depicting the Caneghem universe and there's a reason why.

What reason?
Make you strong places to dwell and practice the evil of your arts. Build great monuments to stand through the ages and remind your followers of the task with which you have been charged. Use these halls of iniquity to perpetrate your schemes against the infestation that has taken the fields and lakes of this land from you, their rightful masters. Never forget the hatred that must finally overcome and consume mankind. Dwell in your dungeons and brood. - Sheltem the Dark
