Reminds me of Sun Ray from MMs. That would obliterate way more than just a few of those undead, though.

You mean Holy Word or Holy Shout?
Sometimes I think that HoMM2 magic system is the best (besides MM6-8 magic system ofc).

No sorry I just cant get used to the fauntain frog. And they keep putting it into focus of attention constantly but its just to hard to look at him. Please remove him or at least put Deadly Phiranas in his head toilet.

Whoa! The undead should need some kind of badass sunglass spell to counter that sunshine!

I hope that it's not as limited as Holy Word/Shout was and it has other uses besides dmging only undead.

If I recall, holy word/shout was made limited to the undead because it didn't distinguish between yours and enemy's army. This was adding to the strategy element.

IIRC the M&M spell "sunray" (light magic, master level) damaged everything, but did extra damage to undead

No, it didn't. It was a generic spell and had nothing to do with the undead. Plus it was a spell damaging only one creature. And a bit useless because it was only working outdoors and in daylight.

It was Light bolt not Sun Ray.

The second best damage spell in game useless? O_o
Yes, it worked only in daylight and only for one creature but it was enough for tough enemies.

Yeah, in the worst way possible, by making it only useful in 1 situation ever...

At least in a SP RPG you can make up for it by making it do giant dmg or something else to make it OP, but in Heroes that would ruin balance...

@Avonu:

Light bolt was a different spell, introduced in MMVII. Sunray was in MMVI through VIII.

Mass distortion and implosion were much more useful spells. Light magic also had prismatic light, also much more useful than sunray. By the time you could cast it, all your significant foes were immune to it or too weak for it to make any difference. Also a pain in the ass to use in real time combat, from a distance. Not to mention too costly, in mana, to cast.

@Thundertitan:

That was pretty much the case for Armageddon and acid rain, too. If you didn't have dragons, they were only good for suicide mission, by which time it would be of little strategic value.

This is an AWESOME looking battlefield layout, and it obviously has some POWER UP features akin to those in King's Bounty.

I can't wait until the 28th to give H6 a go!
