Video: Music & Sound Making Of

This is perhaps the most spectacular movie related to Heroes of Might and Magic to date. Just click play and enjoy.

This was indeed a great video.

I'm really hyped to hear the remixes of older Might and Magic tunes in full glory. Makes the soundtrack bonus in certain editions even more interesting.

Now if only i could actually grab a physical copy of Collector edition.

It seems that music will be the best element of the game, at least from what we have seen so far. If gameplay is at least half as good, it will be a huge success!

One odd comment though... what is Smeagol doing in H6?

Wow that was a pretty incredible video. Must've been pretty expensive to make.

The music is the part of the game that never fails.

Darkstrom: You are right about that. It took me a long time to come around and enjoy Heroes IV but even before I did I would listen to the soundtrack all the time.

It is frustrating to hear the Producer talk about this game being a tribute to the fans considering how many fans can't even get the edition with the soundtrack if we live in the "wrong" country. It really is a slap in the face.

It is funny to see HoMM1 town screen (with all these people/creatures around) and compare it with HoMMVI lame town window.

Also I see that Khengi from ToE is back... however this time his script seems to be better written.

Nice video! One thing that bugged me though - the voice actor said the name "Anastasia" incorrectly to my ear. It should have been either of these: http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=anastasi***

It's funny how different languages pronounce the same name differently... but at least the spelling is right (why does J replace I in germanic languages anyway, it's certainly nowhere near the same sound).

Anastasia is actually a Greek name (comes from Anastasis which means resurrection). A lot of words ending in -stasis (as well as the word itself) are used in English. This rendition is meant to be Slavonic though, probably implying Russian background, but although the pronunciation in Slavonic versions of the name is the same as in Greek, this sounds more like a Germanic (like Swedish) pronunciation (i.e. the stress falls on the third syllable instead of the fourth).

That's different. We usually call these loanwords, not wrong pronunciation :p

Though in the context of the video it's not implicit that it's a mistake in Slavonic pronunciation. It could be Swedish.

Yeah, i can see it in my head when the first guy went "yeah, i meant to do that, i wasn't mispronouncing it at all, i was totally adapting it to my language"...
