If location is everything in real estate, this Sanctuary town would cost a bundle ...

It lies by the foot of a dormant volcano, almost camouflaged by its mountainous surroundings, and with a beautiful waterfall feeding its water supply. A garrisoned gate guards the secluded area.

Still looks too much like someone stuck a roof on top of a fountain...

Considering the nature of the town, that's how it should appear, IMO.

I particularly like the fact that they seem to have been able to merge beautiful landscape with functional gameplay. The mines, the paths, the towns all look very well integrated.

@Kalah: Totally agreed. They did an extremely good job of creating the landscapes. I believe Marzhin has substantial input in that regard.

Now all I look forward to visually is new models and names for certain Sanctuary creatures ;)

Other than that, I hope they make good use of the time ahead to improve the AI and faction balance further, not that I have any info they're poor...

I didn't have much to do in that particular regard beyond giving a general artistic direction for the maps. The landscape artists at BH were already really good :)

It looks too much like it's part of teh background, the idea behind it is fine, but needs to look more like a town... a few small asian pillars around it, like SO (but smaller) or a small fence would do wonders.
