I think it's kinda funny how everyone thought that H IV was the worst of the series...until V came out.

I hope this trend does not continue. If H VI sucks, then I am not buying another Heroes game until JVC is back on it. :D

H5 cannot be considered the worst in the series, not by a long shot. In some ways it was better than 3.
I, for one, am dying to find out what colour they paint Michael's toenails.

I am sorry but that statement is not close to correct. Many thought that of H-IV, but if you would do some research on that topic instead of making a broad generalized (and incorrect) statement. You would find many of us actually like H-IV more than the rest.

:loll:

You'll wake up one day. Ok its graphics and it full use of system resources to the point of choking many systems.

How long was the shot (and of what) you drunk before writing this? Sure H1 is superior to others in the series in some ways, especially if we include personal opinions, but that does not eliminate the possibility that by large statistical analysis and the "ultimate truth that only the God knows" it may be the worst in the series. We CAN even think that H3 was the worst in the series, can we not? Sure, there are disabled people who cannot doubt in Ubisoft.

That is true now (and I am in this group, too), but I'm pretty sure you couldn't say that at launch... I still remember the draconic crashes and out of memory errors. *shudder*
With the patches and two expansion packs, it gets quite good, however.

I agree that every HOMM game below V was good. My personal favorite was probably HOMM II. As for HOMM VI, I don't think I will play it. Just doesn't seem to interest me. I prefer 2d graphics for these kinds of games.

I am moving rapidly in that direction. While it would take a lot of work, time and balancing that NWC unfortunately did not have. I just don't see myself returning to the H-III format ever again. Gameplay is of course most important, but the story telling options that multiple hero armies opens just can't be replicated in the one hero on the sideline style of H-III/V. Besides UBI seems reluctant to make a campaign editor. It's all good, I'm getting too old to wait for an H-VII. So I now see myself fading away in the background like many of the other old guys/gals have done. B-)

No that looks to be a good H-III map, but my two releases were Dragon's Fate and Lamentia's Story. Both were H-IV, DF was WoW and LS required equilibris.

I don´t like H_IV and the best game of the saga in my opinion is H-III that should have been the line the producers should have taken. But...... BUTTTTT

Heroes 5 is pretty cool. The combat system and spells/abilities are fun and bring something new. Haven't tried the skillwheel yet.

Heroes 3 feels cooler somehow but Heroes 5 is fairly alright. Heroes 4 simply sucks. Heros on the field, weird units, diagonal battlefield and other stuff (yes I do own it).

Finished H5 campaign, on to the expansion(s).

I'm fine with a delay for HoMaM 6, got plenty of games to play anyway. I'll see how it is when it comes out. Might wait for a gold/complete edition but ok.
