I won this scenario based totally on luck, so (done on whatever difficulty the games sets it on), I went halfway down the road to Padon, stopped by the refugee camp getting a titan, and backtracked to capture the first enemy town. Aine had left, so I easily took her out from within the town. After that, I controlled a third of the map and was never harassed by red.
