The Hype, The Hype
The Hype, The Hype
News of the Heroes VI preorder are everywhere, even on the Steam news
(upon system launch). Is Ubisoft seriously working on generating some hype for the game, maybe?
Unlike many others, I don't hate this suggested cover ... I just think it's a dime a dozen.

I hate it. A simple black background with just the Heroes VI title would have been ten times better than.. than.. THIS.

I don't understand why you guys hate it so much. It's perfectly consistent with the story, it's intriguing, and it looks aesthetically appealing. I feel like there was no winning the hearts of some...
@Variol: Yeah, this is the first time in Heroes series you see an Angel with some garment on...

It's a matter of opinion.
Of all things listed i would only agree that it's somewhat consistent with the story. It is in no way intriguing or aesthetically appealing to me.
I would prefer minimalistic cover in lines of previous gold edition.
While it might be ok cover for single character RPG or FPS, Focusing on one character at game box cover does heroes type of game a bad service.

The Hype, The Hype
No doubt there will be several covers ... but I do wish that Ubi would consider making theirs a little less ... mainstream.

At first I thought this Akasha fellow will be Sanctuary's plot-hero, but he looks more like a naga-turned-necro character.

@Skullmane: Totally agreed on Akasha's naga-turned-necro looks. Maybe he really is something in between?

By the way, has it been posted anywhere that the game (both normal and deluxe) is available for pre-purchase at Steam? Available May 24th: http://store.steampowered.com/app/48220/

It's definitely consistent with the look of the game. It's shiny and on fire.theGryphon wrote:It's perfectly consistent with the story, it's intriguing, and it looks aesthetically appealing.

Why not the other way round, necro turned naga?theGryphon wrote:@Skullmane: Totally agreed on Akasha's naga-turned-necro looks. Maybe he really is something in between?
Yes. And Steam is not the only distributor, too.theGryphon wrote:By the way, has it been posted anywhere that the game (both normal and deluxe) is available for pre-purchase at Steam? Available May 24th: http://store.steampowered.com/app/48220/

Yep, it could be necro-turned-naga too!
I know Steam is not the only distributor but it's news to me to see MMH6 to debut at Steam as well. It was years after for HOMM5 release...

There's having an opinion and then there's being wrong... generic fantasy angel waving a sword on white background is nowhere near intriguing.theGryphon wrote:<<it's intriguing,>>
