All I know is that H6 Inferno is by far the best faction in the game.
They killed of the Dungeon of H3 (couldn't care less for the H5 dungeon) and apparently they took away my titans as well.

I am looking forward to playing Inferno, and there seriously wouldn't be a single faction I'd be looking forward to in H6 if they removed the demon town.

Guys...don't judge the book by its cover.
We must play and feel them first to know 'bout which is the worst / best faction to play.

The only faction that impressed me so far was that blue Asian Naga town. I hope that's real, but considering how it is pretty good and the official towns are not, my expectations are low.

The whole point of this thread was to judge the inferno town by its cover. And I'd rather not "feel" and "play" with the breeder.

Hopefully they'll add them in expansions...

I find all H6 factions a bit awkward, but Inferno seems to be the only one I can't come to terms with.

Here is how I picture the ideal line-up:

Core:
Imp
Cerberus
Succubus

Elite:
Nightmare
Ifrit
Tormentor (not the H6 one, but something closer to the H3 pit fiend)

Champion:
Archdemon (something big with horns and wings)

The units would not be all fiery red.

I think there are too many of the same units we've all seen before. I'd like something fresh, maybe a fire oriented faction that is not made up demons. Possible creatures that might be in the faction would be Phoenix, Ifrit, will-o-wisp, or kitsune spirit

Well Ifrits being fire they'd fit in with the fire dragon worshipping Dwarves...

They're not associated with fire, but only depicted as such in H3 and H4.

And every other game too. Even the venerable wiki says they're associated with fire.

Also, it's in the Koran... made of smokeless fire...

EDIT: looks like that's a djinn in the Koran, not just ifrits...

Agreed, and expect them to do so.

I hope they bring dungeon back to it's former glory, with mighty minotaurs, I'd even accept them as top tier, if there will be no dragon.

But whatever they do: Please STEP AWAY FROM THE DARK ELVES.

On topic:

I really like the Inferno lineup for H6. In H5 I felt the Pit Lord should have been tier 7. The breeder is a great addition, and I feel good about the rest of the creatures as well. There are too much red though, and I miss the multicolored towns of H1-H3.

They should have made Dungeon what it has always been: the evil wizard faction.

That's not gonna happen and you know it (I hope).. the best thing we can expect is for them to be less "exposed".

I could live with 1 or 2 dark elven units. As long as they don't fight in latex stockings...

Btw, since the Ifrit is (in HOMM) the counterpart of the Djinn, why not put them in the Dungeon faction?

Meh, they don't fit in dungeon nearly as well as they do in inferno. Especially in the new dark elven dungeon now.
Infiltrator out.

Because the warlock faction was never the mirror image of the wizards even when they where Order and Chaos... so you need a more palpable reason then Efreet being the mirror image of Genies to justify them in Dungeon.

Plus, the dwarves really need some non-dwarf units this time around (and some Halflings as core ranged pls).
