Just saw a hawk close up on my walk home from the shops. It was hunting a crow through bushes and trees. Now real-time that's action! :)

I know some people who regularly watch Peregrine falcons from one of the middle floors of the Sears Tower in Chicago. The city actually maintains the birds because they help control the pigeon population. The dense packing of high-rise buildings form a semi-ideal steel habitat for them.

It does, yes, we learned about that in Zoology at the university. It's even against the law to kill those birds, isn't it. :)

But there you have it; those animals that are the best at adapting to conditions created by humans, usually stand a good chance to survive.

I once saw a bunch of seagulls chasing off an eagle. Those zany birds and their dastardly tomfoolery...

Hey, The Pacific. And hey, there's a cup of tea on the table. *sip*

Thought I was bored there for a second, but I'm fine now.

I started the stamina training today, by running up and down the stairs at work. First time I'v done any stamina training in 2 years. The referees' test is 12 minutes, so I set my watch to that time and started. When I was completely out of breath, I checked my watch, and found that I was half way. Good thing I started training now, and not two weeks before the test ...
