Happy Christmas 2010

Unread postby Kalah » 23 Dec 2010, 20:53

Only a few hours away, now. I've put some nice things on the tree, brought in the presents, and generally gotten ready for the big day tomorrow. I'm sure we shall all share the news of our great hauls of gift items later on. In the mean time:

:-D Happy Christmas, everybody! :-D

It's MERRY Christmas... and Happy Holidays.

And it starts on the 25th... tomorrow it's gonna be Christmas Eve, and i think that's like Fridays for weekends... you only count from the evening.

Well we crazy southerners believe that Christmas starts on the 1st day of Christmas! I don't kow why...

You say MERRY CHRISTMAS and stuff on Christmas Eve because it's the eve of Christmas... and at midnight presents should appear under the tree.

BTW, i was refering to this:

being said on the 23rd... so wrong.

I think you're forgetting that not everyone is in the same time zone. And relatively speaking, it is just a few hours. :)

Unless Kalah moved to Siberia the difference is only about 1 hour... and anything beyond 23 hours is a day...

Meh, Winter Solstice is where it's really at :P

...hmm, I wonder who was the wise guy who thought that fasting during the Advent was a good idea? After all, if you don't eat meat and such things back then, you still have to feed the animals and thus you have lower odds of survival during the year :disagree: Sounds like someone misinterpreted something there...

Merry Christmas!

As i pointed out before, saying Merry Christmas on Christmas Eve is exactly what you do... doesn't mean it's the 1st day of Christmas...
