HVI units (images)
The only explanation I can think of is that the HoMM V Seraphim are named after the MMH:VI Seraphim because the latter gained the reputation of mercykillers. I.e. the Heroes V Seraph is actually an Angel with a nickname or title that initially was the name of a lesser or at least more earthly creature. Amazing stuff!
Otherwise they'll have to explain how the upgraded Angel becomes smaller and more human-like.

I'm guessing the Seraph/Celestial counts as a new unit to them... man, its depressing to always be right...
Hmmm.... i recall checking out one of those pictures and seeing that it had more heads then i first assumed... but i guess it might have been the Hellhound, which has 1 head too many... both should be named Orthrus then...Avonu wrote:I only see two heads and spiked armour (with two spikes at bottom of dog mouth).ThunderTitan wrote:Actually if you look closer the Cerberus does appear to have 3 heads...

I'll just put some quotes from other boards :
From C_h_u_c_k_l_e_s (AKA Sir Charles)
From Elvin about the Inferno setup
From C_h_u_c_k_l_e_s (AKA Sir Charles)
Sorry for the confusion guys. The Pit Lord IS the strongest unit for the inferno. You can call that a confirmation if you like. I got the order mixed up for some unknown reason, hence my earlier post. My apologies.
From Elvin about the Inferno setup
Though, Elvin is known for playing some pranks on usWell then, one core and one elite remaining

Sun Rider?! Really?!
Ok, it's becoming pretty obvious that they need to get someone with more imagination to translate the chosen names from french... chevalier du soleil might sound good in french (as good as anything in french can sound), but not so much in english...
Solar Knight/Champion/Crusader comes to mind right away, and i'm sure we could do better...

this whole business is a tragedy, so one more stupid name hardly matters anymore.

I know that. I meant that the heroes would not also be "ordinary" units.ThunderTitan wrote:And me here actually starting to have hope for this game...
Dungeon/Asylum had Troglodyte heroes... i miss those days. Now the Devils can actually be the heroes for the faction.
And Inferno always had devil heroes...
For example, there is no Haven unit called "general" No Necro unit called "Necromancer" and so on. Yes, it's just a naming thing, but I tend to think of "THE" devil, not a horde of devils.

It's only me or they are another unit with no so good name (these putrid and festering)?
Dumb name (the Putrid and Festering parts, not Lamasu), but like in the case of the Sun Rider/Crusader the look of the unit makes up for the awful name IMO. Still, I hope they work on those names before they're done.
