Saw Devil last night. Surprisingly good. It's almost a "who done it". Lots of red herrings. Although, I guessed the Devil at the first! Hubby says that I just spun the wheel and won.

Just goes to show that M. Night Shyalamamalan... should stick to having plot twist ideas and leave directing to someone else.

I've read conflicting reviews of Devil, but I'll probably watch it anyways. The concept is very interesting

Watched The War of the Worlds last night. It's actually quite true to the original novel.

Full of plot holes, of course, but hey ...

Just watching Iron Man 2, and although the effects are great, that part where Stark jumps in to participate in the Monaco GP is just rubbish ... I mean, there are rules and regulations, man ... come on ...

It was a cheap way to show the new audience, that Tony Stark is a rich playboy with a bit of an eccentric streak.

Rubbish yes, but good rubbish ;)

It's not a plot hole, it's how the world works if you're rich...

Maybe it's different up north, but for the rest of us that's how it is.

Not in the world of sports. Nigeria just got suspended by FIFA, and that's a country. You think sport federations are any less lenient against individuals? You can't just jump in an F1 car unless you're licensed, something you have to be before the season begins. Clearly, the writers just decided to do like you said and conclude: "Since this guy has so much money, he can do whatever he wants.". They could have avoided that whole plot hole by inserting a small word-exchange between Stark and the team leader, saying something like: "I know you're one of the licensed drivers as part of the test team, but this is very last minute ..."

Looking forward to Thor; it'll be Marvel-based rather than on pure mythology, but we all know the American's tendency to utterly ruin such stories anyway. It's directed by Branagh and it's got great actors like Hopkins in it.
