2 last towns almost official, it appears they killed titans

Unread postby Kilop » 27 Aug 2010, 16:05

*The different tilesets:
Jungle, Plains (Summer AND Autumn), Lava, Wasteland (Necropolis), Underground.
From the elvin info ... That leaves JUNGLE and UNDERGROUND

With all the terrains beeing revealed and neither snow nor desertic one beeing used (previous themes of the academy). It seems safe to assume that next towns will be sylvan and dungeon !

I will miss my golem rush !

it's a shame, though I think I know why. The wizard town suffered with an identity struggle for a while. The units, the locations in my opinion it just didn't fit the complete picture.

However how will they just pretend the mages don't exist? Necropolis is a splinter faction after all.

I guess they could be sort of "distant" and "far away", and then they¨ll bring them in for the expansions, maybe?

it may halas not be at the time of their creation, since the necromancers were not already there ... So any guess is as good as mine.

I don`t think that underground tileset hints at Dungeon town.

Killing Titan's would be just as bad as killing Black Dragon's and utterly unacceptable!

My biggest concern is - will there be elf town...

If jungle brings naga town, we still can see there mages and (maybe less likely) titans.

I hope to god there will be no Naga faction. I love Naga don't get me wrong, but I have never seen any video game do the naga justice so I would be frightened if they had a Naga faction in this game.

I'm rooting for a lizard/Fortress town, myself. It just doesn't seem right that it's been so long since the Gorgons have had a chance to shine again. :creative:

At the very least, I suspect the tier 7 of the town wouldn't be a flier, and that does bring out the creative types.

If they keep the story from HV I don't see no Lizard or Naga town coming our way.

Even though I miss the mighty Mighty Gorgons as well. :(

I guess we'll see the Dark Elfs coming in some of the expansions. Orcs - wasn't it in the HV storyline that they were created form the Mages with demon blood to fight against the Demons?.. or I am mixing the storyline with the Lord of the Rings? :D

Actually i think that the Wizards at the very least have a unit roster in existence in some way. If you check out the Necro faction pdf that was posted there is a comparison in role on the Bf for the Ghost with the Djinn... and a lot of reference to the Wizards. Of curse maybe they made more faction at the start and cut back on them for balance after and we'll see them in the expansions.

I'd still like to see sources for all new information, to avoid rumours escalating. Do we have official confirmation on the towns?

Actually by how little we know of Nagas in Ashan there's no reason why they couldn't make an appearance in some expansion set outside the Holy Empire...

Come on, we know the storyline: five siblings, one demon fraction, archangel general, etc, etc. We've got knights, and necros' covered. Wizards are the easiest one of the remaining to get a human to lead.

I think Academy is a safe bet for the expansion pack. And I hope the same goes for Elves and Orcs. How can they make a Heroes game without these factions?!
