It's the least part of work. I've already made four or five variations of this menu (using MM6 textures) in Game Maker.
The biggest part is modelling of creatures, if you want to use models, in stead of billboards. It even overweights the modelling of dungeons.

Indeed. Why do game designers always throw out their original 3DS Max files out :(

Can you tell what program did you use to disassemble the executable?

By the way, since the User Interface and menus are now fully customiseable, we accept suggestions and sketches for new menus, designs, elements and controls positions etc.

Nomad, is is possible for adding some unique stuff like quest in new game+ . I mean some extremely hard quest only trigger to appear after you finish the game. It makes game changes and it will be unstoppable if new quest will link to alternative endings :D.

If you're working off of the MM7 engine, will it be able to handle the MM8 race skills?

And if the answer is yes, could you please rebalance the MM8 Dragon class by:

* Removing the default ranged attack
* Have the Dragon use Unarmed for default attacks (claws/bite)
* Remove the attack/defense bonuses from the Dragon Skill
* Have the Dragon use Dodge

You could just make dragons accessible only at the end of the game, as it was intended all along ;|

Balance and fun-wise, though, that's probably not the best option.

Balance-wise, you still have the issue of the auto-hitting ranged attack and the fact that Dragons only have to invest in one skill to increase their attack, defense, and special abilities.

Fun-wise, I prefer to have gradually increasing and customizable strength over the course of the game than somebody else's idea of a high-powered character for 3% of the end of the game.

The implications of this project, if finished, are pretty awesome. It would be great to see Might and Magic get the same kind of modding attention that Infinity Engine games get.
Back from the dead? Maybe.

wow, i hadnt heard of this place until today (have played and enjoyed most of the might and magic/heroes of might and magic games) and this looks awesome!

can't believe there is something current going on, i thought mm6/7/8 modding would have been dead along time ago.

Great work so far nomad, keep it up. I'd love to eventually be skilled enough to do things like that, im still learning at the moment... but soon! ;)
