We had Beer Can Chicken last night for dinner. It was served with rice and broccoli to prevent you from eating the entire chicken in one sitting.

I've got almost 4 pounds of pork butt in the crock pot simmering in BBQ sauce. It's the next best thing to actually smoking it. I don't have a smoker, just a regular grill... and that's not BBQing, it's GRILLING.

Clearly what you need is a flower pot. And to satisfy the Norwegians' strange obsession with fish, Alton Brown also once made a smoker out of a cardboard box.

I have to work on my project for the exam this week and I just went down and bought a bucket load of food....all shapes and sizes. So I don't have to go out the next four days. Funny thing is, having all that great food in the house makes me very very happy :D

Chocolate cake makes me happy. Hubby bought me some two days ago. (I've been to tired after work to bake.) I think I'll take it to work with me and share with my niece who has been slaving away with me cleaning out all the back rooms full of 20 year's worth of accumulated horded junk! She deserves a little happiness.

I don't think that men will never quite understand the full connection between women and chocolate cake. It's not just the chocolate or the sugar, candy and ice cream don't always trip those endorphin triggers. Sometimes, it has to be CAKE... it's the wheat carbs, sugar and fat contained in the perfect mood altering combination that only certain bakery products can produce.

I've made my frankly excellent muffins today; brought them to the pupils who were ecstatic as usual. :)

My niece 'harvested' our first Squash from the back porch yesterday. She took it home to cook it.

Spare ribs, glazed with marinade, bread and spiced butter on the side, along with rice (sprinkled with the sauce from the fryer) and some spiced broccoli. It's sooooo yummy ... :yummy:

I made my niece a pistachio pudding cake for her birthday, as per her request. It was actually really good. GREEN, but good.
