I know how to do it in theory. It's just that I've never actually done it in practice before, and that "in theory" part worries me. I'm gonna do it at a time I don't really need me PC, like in the summer.

I had to set my BIOS to actually boot from CD before anything could happen. Didn't find any reformat before isntalling-option, so chose a repair-option, got a DOS-line and used good old format c:

In related news, I think at least one of my RAM-chips is busted. Good thing I got more than I need.

Right, some boards have also boot menu, try to press F11 during bios loading everything phase.. You will see the right choice here, about 2:01

What? Memory testing? God, no!

A whole trick is to letting it run for several hours (from 24h~48h) and then come back, look at the screen, check the time and see the errors (if any).

Also don't forget that some timing//placing in the wrong slots may cause memories to fail although they're itself good. Which is likely not your case.

Youtube is your friend.

Just found an orange in my backpack. Couple of weeks old. Mouldy. Surprisingly juicy in the middle.

Fruit gets juicier when they get past the rotten stage...hew :S

I am gonna be playing Little Big Planet tomorrow with my gf and then we're going drinking afterwards. We might even start when we're playing if that darned wheel in the Collector's Lair keeps giving us trouble.
