The Chaos Conspiracy Part 2 has been Released!

Unread postby Big Daddy Jim » 15 Jan 2010, 12:42

The TCC Development Group and Big Daddy Jim are proud to announce the release of The Chaos Conspiracy, Part 2. The files are available for download at;

http://www.filefront.com/user/BDJ7777

Please take the time to download and read the TCC2 Player Installation Guide before beginning game installation.

About the Game.

TCC Part 2 is not your standard RPG-adventure game, nor is it your conventional MM game. Rather it is a game of Discovery and of Exploration. In TCC Part 2, you will enter a world unknown and uncivilized: no maps, no villages, no towns; only Creation in its rawest of forms. A single quest drives you onward through this land, as you gather clues from nature and progress towards the end. Your only guide will be your journal of notes, and your only chance of survival will be your wits, your might, and your magic.

It’s time to boldly go where no man has gone before!!

Be careful out there!

BDJ

Please note that this is a “Beta Two” release. The game has been both Alpha and Beta tested, but this release does not have the end-of-game video in-place. When this video becomes available, it will be released within a new ANIMS.zip folder posting on the download site.

Not to worry, maestro. We all understand the importance of education. Get the end-game done when you can. I'll send you the voiceover that you requested in a couple of days.

And, yes. A single SMK and two 'dummy' (one-frame) SMKs for the ending should work fine.

YEEEEES!
I began download files! I am happy!
My greatest thanks to BDJ and Co.
As I see, there is nothing any TCC-Part2 map - It seems interesting and ... hard!

I done all installatioins - and become in "Void". Withowt money and food (food is no problem at first-second game steps), but with one last NPC (spell-master, one of the best). Why don't works Fly spell? TP too - this understable. Walk on Water works... (or it seems?) I give my first quest and first hint. The Game works!

Both LB and Fly works. I'm cleaned almost half of Wyvern's Nest (third territory), but I have no real battle opponents and not complete even first(?) "Translation" task)))

I still don`t understand why can`t you make an "easy to use" installer for the mod.

Yes it is a bit complicated so it is even more unusually you don`t have a simple installer as 99% mods have. It would also be much more user friendly to distribute the mod as a single file installer on the internet.

Mn,

KOOL!

Remember, this is a game of Exploration and Discovery. If something doesn't work in one area, that doesn't mean it won't work in another area.

So experiment and discover the 'rules' of Creation's Land and TCC Part 2.

Good Luck!

Let me see. A Five Step install is too difficult? Perhaps you shouldn't be playing a game as complicated as TCC, if the install is too difficult.

But, since this is free-ware, and the game is issued as-is, it's really a take-it-or-leave-it game.

Either way, those who have completed TCC Part 1 will enjoy playing TCC Part 2.

For what that's worth.

Congratulations my friends! :) Your new castle is located in Harmondale

I'll give it a try as soon as I'm up for playing M&M.
My patches: MM6 MM7 MM8. MMExtension. Tools. Also, I love Knytt Stories and Knytt Underground. I'm also known as sergroj.

Yeah, I didn't see what's so hard about it, just copying files from one spot to another. Great Job BDJ. BTW, are you still using the lvleditor and hex to mod or are you using MMExtension?

I did no express myself correctly. :( Yes, the procedure is easy for me and most folks here on this forum. I just suggested it would be wonderful for others to make an "easy to use" installer by someone with technical knowledge and distribute these two mods to other major mod sites. In this way many other fans would be able to see and download this wonderful work and not just few on this forum. It was just a suggestion. ;)

Matt,

Good to hear from ya! I'm still using the MM8Leveleditor and Hex manipulations, but for Part 2, since the major task was terrain change, I mostly used custom-built C-code and a few HEX tweaks.

The MME looks very promising, but I couldn't afford to 'change gears' in mid-stream while developing Part 2 (it's kinda like if it works don't fix it).

Grayface,

Thanks for the congrats!

If and when you do decide to play, just get ready for the long haul playing a two-part game. I've only completed Part 1 three times (in each difficulty mode) and Part 2 once. I'll probably play Part 2 one more time and then put the game permanently to rest.

The God of Lightning

Unread postby Mamma Jamma » 16 Jan 2010, 17:35

Installed TCC Part 2: everything went smoothly and the whole process didn't strike me as a particularly complicated one. Killed those pesky flies after softening them a little with some nukes (12 to be more precise). Everything so far is going "fine" (where by "fine" I mean that Part 2 seems to run smoothly...)

One question though, since I've noticed the new "instructor" in the image. I left from Part 1 with two NPCs: a spell-master and an instructor (Jack is his name). Lo and behold, in Part 2 he's no longer "Jack the Instructor", but "Jack the God of Lightning". Is this just a text problem or a more serious bug?. I'm assuming that in Part 2 the 'qualification' "instructor" has been replaced by the "God of Lightning" one, but I'd like to be sure. Anyway, I can't learn anything from him; his menu is just the plain old one, so I guess it can't be a serious bug.
