@Konfuzius: There's no spell called Fire Wave in MM6...? :/
Did you mean Fire Blast or Inferno?

Well, Sheltem and Corak were guardians, thus cyborgs. Though having one as a player character would be quite overkill.
like i said, WAY late into the game, like the last persons you meet before the end boss.

and not as playable NPCS.
Ultima, Elder Scrolls and Might and Magic Veteran.

This is good stuff! These circles under spells mean they are connected?

thats pretty pathetic.
Lots of people do hate the blasters, but cyborgs? thats the limit......
Well i have exacly the same feelings about playing minotaurs and dragons, so when game is pushed to limits in fantasy way, then could be balanced by using opposite.

This game hane no limits style and am sure nobody will be surprised to see anything new weird, even race from other planet look like come from future. But yes it should be near game ending, as i remember Wizardry8 it dont look good when sci-fi stuff was early.

Looks like Starburst gets renamed to Lightning Storm or something along those lines.. Also I'm not sure if the red monster head thingy is supposed to be Implosion or something completely new.

I gotta say, I really like these high fantasy races you're adding to the game. At first I thought Angels and Genies were kinda meh, but they're looking really cool now :) :D

Macros, these are the generic MM7 Air spells. Starburst is top right, head is implosion and lightning is Lightning Bolt. These icons are from the original spellbook of MM7 as seen in a website of the icon designer.

Oh lol, guess I never payed much attention to the spell icons. I recognized most of them as having been used in MM7 but I thought some were from other games or new.
MM7 is also the one I played least of the three MM games, as I got it only recently (like a year ago), so there's my excuse :D

The Angels ARE a cyberpunk race in MM. Greg Fulton implied long ago that they're Guardians as well, which is something we'll probably pick up on.

Indeed there will be sci-fi, but it won't be any more out-of-place than it was in MM1-7. Which I guess is a matter of perspective.

The genie looks incapable of wearing boots - will there be another piece of specialised armor (like a different tail aura) to make up for it? Or a statistic or skill...? The genie is my favorite of the new characters shown so far :)

Angels, if they're going to be added, should have their opposite playable as well, for balance, as I see it.
... speakers for the dead/necromancers perhaps?
I mention these, because kreegan-devils would be a real challenge to model. :devil:

Also, all I see is female characters :( Except for a 3 beast face portraits on the other page.

As we said, that was a tentative date and it really did change. We won't put out release dates until we are comepletely sure of it and the game is entirely done.

And besides, that was more than a year ago and a lot of things changed in some way. We're just aiming to bring you an awsome journey into M&M, so stay tuned ;)

Another idea from classic MMs: what about robes as armour? They might be compatible with the dodging skill, and they should be something sorcerers should wear. Maybe not letting them wear leather/making the skill very low would do (since Druids are the class with leather), or maybe add a bonus to intellect?

Also, about release dates: say that it will be released in around two weeks :D

Well every character is already wearing regular cloth with or without the armor on, so I guess you could give the Sorcerers only access to the dodge skill at a low level, and no access to any armor type at all.

I don't think regular cloth would give even +1 to armor class, it's just too weak to withstand anything. As for statistic granting cloth, you've already got cloaks..

Although I do think that sorcerers should be wearing robes instead of walking around looking much like the rest of the party. So maybe giving them special no-skill required robe "armor" that you can use in conjunction with the dodge skill that grants bonusses to intellect instead of armor class isn't such a bad idea..

A edit to this one, i dont try to push and i dont try to be offensive but its 15 februari at the moment, so your potential release date will soon be off 1 full year which is 100% off. Like i said i dont try to push but can you tell whats needs to be done right now, whats not finished yet?

Sorry to disappoint, but our game will be more than 100% off of our original date. As stated earlier in this thread.... somewhere among the 46 pages, MMX has been taken in a completely different direction than when we first announced it. We want MMX to be as close to New World Computing's/3DO's concept of Might and Magic 10.

We still have many creatures to incorporate, some interface textures, completing NPC dialogue, coding the entire story (Last thing on the agenda), mapping, character creation, and other odds and ends. Still lots to do.
