For those who's playing MM6 with my patch: testers needed.

The role-playing games (I-X) that started it all and the various spin-offs (including Dark Messiah).

If you're currently playing MM6 or are going to play it very soon, please unpack this archive into your game directory:
http://sites.google.com/site/sergroj/mm ... ects=0&d=1
If the method is working, this shouldn't bring any change in the gameplay. If it's not working, any bug may occur (such as crash). If it happens, you can remove MMExtension.dll from ExeMods folder, load saved game and continue to play normally. Still, it may be a good idea to backup saves from time to time. I haven't encountered any problems myself, which means there's a big chance for the method to work, but I need someone to play-test it.
If you're up to it, please post to this thread and report as you go.

The method itself is a workaround for the problem BDJ described in CreatureControlGuide.pdf.

What does this patch do? Is it different than yours v1.8?

It's MMExtension with a modification. In order for it to work you need my patch installed. It doesn't do anything. It shouldn't alter the gameplay at all. It may only trigger bugs like crashes if my method is wrong. :)
So, I need someone playing original MM6 (not TCC) to test the method.

it's a workaround for problem, that some creatures can't be added in certain maps?

first noticed thing:
when loading one saved game this message appeared:

Code: Select all

————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Scripts/Core/RSPersist.lua:442: bad argument #2 to 'setmetatable' (nil or table expected)

stack traceback:
	(tail call): ?
	[C]: in function 'setmetatable'
	Scripts/Core/RSPersist.lua:442: in function <Scripts/Core/RSPersist.lua:418>
	(tail call): ?
	Scripts/Core/RSPersist.lua:479: in function 'unpersist'
	Scripts\Core\main.lua:1713: in function <Scripts\Core\main.lua:1703>

local Variables of 'setmetatable':
	(*temporary) = (table: 026C1CA0)
	(*temporary) = "apsOutD3"
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
then the game continued to load and it works fine.
other saves and new game starts finely
