Hi everyone,

Sorry about the lack of updates. Unfortunately we ran into some technical problems that delayed progress on Book 3.

But I do have an early christmas present for everybody who liked Legends of the Ancients so far and want to know what happens in Book 3.

SO without further ado... Ladies, gentlemen and cranky heroes, I offer you... (drumroll...)

The Art of Legends of the Ancients
(I always wanted to do a book like that :D )

280 pages (!) with all the story... and art... and drawings... and screenshots... and more. B-)

It's available for download here at CH, for roughly 215 mb (it's a big baby !)

I hope you'll enjoy it, and that it will make the wait more bearable until the actual campagn comes out :)

Fantastic job, Marzhin and everyone! :-D

After reading the entire story, I have a question in mind. Is the girl Escaton mentions the Oracle of Dawn.

Oh, and, of course, will there be the story of Book 4?

All I'll say is it will be revealed who the other "hybrid" was... eventually :D

For my part, I've had some worthwhile practice with the editor, so I hope the final maps can be finished with in a more timely fashion. And whatever my flawed, delayed skill makes of Book IV's gameplay, I'll at least vouch that Marzhin's story is damn good!

And who's the first one? Could it be Verhoffin or Mysterio the Magnificent?

Well, progress continues as per my usual standard (i.e. mind-bogglingly slowly)... :P

Thanks to a friend of mine, we are almost certainly going to have colourised portraits in the final books and perhaps in a rerelease of Book 2. It's also looking possible that Books 3 and 4 will be released simultaneously.

Four maps written out of five ! It's been a productive week-end :D

The story is almost completed. Boy, it seems I started working on it an eternity ago. But I am almost there. Soon™ you'll know the end of the Legends of the Ancients :)

By the way, I saw what Corlagon is cooking for the actual maps of Book 3, and that's brilliant stuff :)

I don't have one yet since I just started working on Book 4. It should be before the next game arrives. :P

Okay, after such tremendous delays and more than a couple messages requesting info I guess it's way past time I offer you guys a preview of the final books ;)

Book 3 is primarily Haven VS Inferno, but with several twists. I hope the fourth and fifth maps will be satisfactorily "epic" in their tone - and there'll be a bonus waiting for you in map 4 :D

Trust me when I say Heirs of the Dead will have one hell of a climax. :) The good news is that progress on Book 4 is moving quite a bit faster than the tricky previous chapter, though I still wish to release both books together (as a final package - the Ultimate Old Universe Experience, if you will :P).
